DIMAPUR/ KOHIMA — The National Service Scheme (NSS) unit and Environmental Science department of Oriental College Kohima, in collaboration with Royal Club Kohima, conducted a cleanliness drive from the college campus to Razhü Point as part of the ongoing celebration of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav (AKAM) coinciding with the World Environment Day on June 5 in the state capital. The activity was carried out under the banner: #Beat plastic pollution. Members of Royal Club Kohima led the cleanliness drive together with students of the college. It was informed that the main motive of the cleanliness programme was to promote cleanliness, maintenance of public property and to stop plastic pollution which has become a global issue.
