Webinar on accreditation in higher education held at NSU

The Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of North South University (NSU) organised a webinar on “Quality Assurance and Accreditation in Higher Education of Bangladesh” at NSU campus recently, said a press release.
Prof Atiqul Islam, Vice-Chancellor of NSU, inaugurated at the event while Prof Dr Mesbahuddin Ahmed, chairman of Bangladesh Accreditation Council (BAC), was present as the chief guest and MA Kashem, founder chairman and director of Southeast Bank Ltd and chairman of Board of Trustees of NSU, was present as the special guest.
In his speech Prof Dr Mesbahuddin Ahmed emphasised on the importance of accreditation and discussed the development of Bangladesh National Qualification Framework (BNQF) and its relevance to the accreditation process. He also mentioned that as per the 2017 Act, Bangladesh Accreditation Council is mandated to implement BNQF, which will help higher education institutes to offer quality programmes and produce graduates with necessary skills, knowledge and competencies.
