DENVER — Crashes and weather conditions have been impacting roads in the mountains and the Front Range throughout Thursday evening.
A safety closure is in place in both directions on I-70 between Exit 359 for US 24 and Exit 438 for Rose Avenue. I-70 from Limon to Burlington is experiencing whiteout conditions with zero visibility, according the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT).
A crash at Exit 20 on C-470 has all lanes blocked, requiring traffic to use on and off ramps as a detour.
Colorado State Patrol has also reported a safety closure on US 285 for Denver-bound drivers between Aspen Park and Windy Point because of multiple crashes.
