GUWAHATI: BPF (Bodoland People's Front) president HagramaMohilary formally joined the 'Grand Alliance' (Mahajoot) of six Opposition parties here on Sunday.
Sharing a common platform with the other leaders of the 'Mahajoot' here on Sunday, Mohilary claimed before the media that the 'Grand Alliance' would get absolute majority in the forthcoming Assembly election in the State and constitute the next government. "We'll definitely form the government and oust the BJP from Assam. A political formation needs 64 seats to form the government at Dispur. However, we're set to get not less than 70 seats.
He added, "The rule of the BJP has not been as expected by the people of the State. It has failed to ensure Constitutional rights to various ethnic communities of the State."
