Members of the Kingston and St Andrew Municipal Corporation (KSAMC) on Tuesday took shots at the National Works Agency (NWA) for supposedly poor roadwork and budgeting, compared to those done by municipal corporations across the country.
Speaking at the KSAMC’s monthly meeting at Jamaica Conference Centre, Councillor for the Whitfield Town Division, Eugene Kelly, said roads that are repaired by municipal corporations are completed with better value than those done by the NWA.
Kingston Mayor, Delroy Williams and fellow councillors, Kari Douglas and Neville Wright, all agreed with Kelly’s statement, and suggested that more resources should be given to municipal corporations across the island to fix deteriorating roads.
