In a long Statement Last night, the senior senator said in part, quote, i will vote to disapprove the agreement. Not because i believe war is a viable option nor to challenge the path of diplomacy. It is because i believe iran will not change and under the agreement it will be able to achieve goals of eliminating sanctions while retaining its nuclear and nonnuclear power. For week, people inside and outside the beltway have waited to see which way the powerful democrat would vote. Many see his decision as a huge blow to the white house. Firefighters rush to rescue several people from a burning building. We are live from knew wark this morning. From newark this morning. Reporter this is a three story house. The fire is believed to have started in the third floor apartment. The the neighbors here describe a dramatic rescue. The flames are out now but the witnesses describe smoke pouring from the third floor earlier and three people rescued from the apartment. Two little girls and their mother. Neighbors say they saw firefighters go both up into the building and through the door and also up the latter from the truck, breaking doors and coming out with the little girls and their mother, placing them on stretchers and ambulances and quickly getting them to the hospital. I think this is a plan that will have a big impact over time. For some, it cannot come soon enough. A survey found just 33 of new yorkers say their quality of life is good. A colorado man has died after contracting the plague. Healthcare Officials Say the man who died this week likely came in contact with a dead animal. It is typically spread by fleas on rodents. And witnesses describe smoke pour prosecuting the third floor earlier. They pouring from the third floor earlier. They say two little girls and their mother were rescued. And we spoke with a man who lives on the second floor. The whole roof was on fire. And the people up stair, you know, it was too much. And two kids passed out. And one got burned. Mother passed out too. The whole right side of the building was torched. Reporter now neighbors say they saw firefighters go up the ladder that you see in the window, breaking the window and taking one child out, down the ladder and then breaking the door and going up into the house and carrying another child out the. And on wednesday at american university, president barack obama compared opposition to the deal to congressional support for iraq war. Breaking news this morning, firefighters scrambling the rescue a family of four from a burning building. We are live from newark with the latest. Reporter the fire is believed to have started in a third floor apartment in the building you see behind me. The building is very damaged. That third floor apartment seriously damaged. But the damage spread to two other buildings as well. We just got an update from the fire chief at the scene. Approximately 32 people are out of their homes now who lived in the damaged buildings and about half are children. And the firefighters did have to rescue a family of four, a mother, a father and two children. And witnesses saw the mother and the two little girls, 4 and 9 years old, being taken out of the building. One little girl was taken down the ladder and the other out the front door. And witnesses saw firefighters try to revival them. They say it was a scary scene. The whole right side of the building was just torched. The whole roof was on fire. And the people upstairs, you know, it was too much. They couldnt get out and two kids passed out. Mother passed out too. Reporter a total of six people are hurt.
