Police tell us it was neighbors who actually stopped the driver after watching him smash his car into a line of parked cars in south philadelphia. Dennis township at 46. Were at 43 in seattle city. These numbers are not much different than yesterday. Again, starting in the 40s. Very mild. We go up farther to the north and you see that just the tip of ocean county getting some rain, a Little Pocket of heavy rain along lbi. Not a lot going on against the shore at this point. Most of the rain north and wechlts you migwest. Suburbs and our i95 corridor were the areas to get the most rain. They certainly have. They continue to do so this morning with pockets of heavy rain here from Mercer County stretching through burlington, camden and gloucester county, clipping philly still as well. But its almost out, at least that round. More pockets of heavy rain are to come throughout the Morning Hours and the final line passes through late morning. By early afternoon, well start to dry things out. Not going to clear the clouds out today, but well see a quieter afternoon. Take a look. This is the hourbyhour model. When i ride my horse, i feel free to be myself, which is not true necessarily in other environments. Charlotte has Cerebral Palsy and has been riding for more than two decades. Her achievements include graduating from college with honors. Pegasus is a program for children and adults with physical, developmental and intellectual disabilities. Physically, the horses help improve the riders strength. If you have an intellectual disability, its teaching them how to focus, how to plan, how to speak. Rashean davis also has Cerebral Palsy and used a walker when he first arrived here. 25 years later, hes earning medals. He says riding has kept him balanced and focused. Improved my riding enjoy my time riding with other people. Thats why many hon. R them at a gala. A fundraiser to help continue providing the same results to more clients. You dont age out of it. Its not like other activities. You could be in your 60s, 70s, even 80s and still participate in our program. The washout is the same weather system thats taken a deadly toll in other parts of the country. Its swept across the midwest, the south, even western pennsylvania is facing flood threats. Kentuckys governor says three people died in the flooding there. Meantime, torrential rain is swamping cincinnati. The ohio river is at the highest level in two decades. Its not going to crest until tuesday. Homeowners in michigan are protecting their properties with sandbags. The kalamazoo river is expected to peak at a level not seen for 70 years. Were talking historic flooding here. One death is reported in arkansas where a possible tornado caused damage. As students prepare to head back to class this week, were learning new details about the officers who responded to the High School Shooting in parkland, florida, but did not go inside to help. Nbc news has learned three sheriffs deputies did not enter the building. Its not clear why, though. The Sheriffs Office did not respond to nbcs request for comment. A School Resource officer who was armed with a gun waited outside the school for four minutes during the shooting. He actually quit the department after it launched an investigation. 17 people died in the massacre. The alleged gunman is charged with their murders. The miami heat are the latest florida sports team to honor those killed in the massacre in parkland. Just before last nights game, players gathered in middle of the court around a giant flag representing Stoneman Douglas high school. They stood together as the arena held a moment of silence. Afterwards, heat star dwyane wade spoke to the survivors. We applaud the fearless students that are fighting for their lives and we want to make sure their voices are heard around gun safety.
