In montgomery county, the person who murdered a pregnant woman with her two other children nearby is still on the loose this morning. Police were called to the apartments in elkins park monday for reports of an argument. They found 31yearold ebony white stabbed to death in her bedroom. Her two children were in the apartment when she was killed. Thats a horrific crime any time always horrific. But when you have kids involved, its even worse. I know she had two kids. Hopefully the kids are all right. Definitely hard for those kids growing up without their mother. The children, ages 7 and 12, were not hurt. The unborn baby did not survive. Police have not made any arrests. 5 06. Today, allentown mayor ed pawlowski is expected to take the stand again in his federal corruption trial. Yesterday he defended himself against accusations that he sold his office to campaign donors. He told the jury he did not promise contracts in exchange for campaign donations. The judge says he expects jurors to begin deliberating early next week. And a change at philadelphias criminal Justice System means people accused of crimes wont be stuck in jail just because they cant pay bail. The District Attorney says his office will no longer seek cash bail for people accused of misdemeanors and nonviolent felonies. Right now suspects are forced to stay in jail for days, sometimes weeks and even years if they cant afford bail.
