Quite a drop since we were in the 40s yesterday. And across philadelphia itself its 29 at the airport, the only spots that are 30 is society hill and port richmond, 26 in west mount airy, elkins park are the cold spots. We did have some nice snow showers go through the northeast a little while ago. This is what the radar looked like at 5 15 this morning. The rain moving towards the coast, the snow pretty much ended across much of the area except for those snow showers that are just about gone from pennsylvania. As you can see its really dried out here and theyre moving fast and the heaviest one just south of lyndon now, another one near lumberen going down toward Medford Lakes but its not going last that long. We go through the rest day we find the temperatures not going anywhere, if anything they go down by this afternoon. Look at these numbers. These are not feelslike temperatures, those are actual air temperatures. Later this evening, if youre headed outside, temperatures in the teens. And by tomorrow morning temperatures still in the teens during the day tomorrow it doesnt warm up a whole lot either. Many places not even getting to 30 degrees tomorrow. Now, that set up a problem here because theres a storm moving in for sunday. So if the precipitation starts in the morning and may very well start as snow, even in philadelphia area could do that, but definitely Lehigh Valley, berks county, poconos, snow and a little bit of a kumlation. But warmer air is coming up. Its racing up as we go into super bowl time. And so the great majority of the area is just wet during super bowl time. Quite a drop in temperatures here, instead of 40s yesterday, we are stuck in the 20for now. 29 in philadelphia, down a few degrees from what we saw7 00 ors morning, and its even colder across the rest of the area. A lot of clouds around for now and everybody is seeing pretty gusty winds. We see 36 Miles Per Hour gusts in melville, 30 in dover, 31 in wilmington, 32 in coatesville, 35 in allentown. Yeah, thats pretty windy. And the wind chill, the feelslike temperatures is based on sustained winds, not the gusts, and even there it is Single Digits. Allentown and reading, 8, 9 degrees. Philadelphia 17. And by tomorrow morning its going to be even colder. As you go through the afternoon, its feeling mostly like the teens and Single Digits, pottstown and allentown late this afternoon by tonight most of the area were talking Single Digits for feelslike temperatures. And into tomorrow morning as well. The wind will diminish tomorrow, so it wont be feeling quite as bad tomorrow afternoon as this afternoon. But tomorrow morning, yeah, thats pretty cold. And by midday its about as cold as it is right now. This is the radar six hours ago, the last of the rain moving offshore. Then we had some snow showers move through the area. They are pretty much gone, as you can see, at least from philadelphia north and west. We have a couple of them in new jersey now just south of Medford Lakes and waterford that has moved through. Now, the temperatures, of course, not going anywhere today. Actuly going down a little bit. And its just going to get colder and colder and koltdcold through the night and into tomorrow morning. There are those temperatures. We already showed you the feelslike temperatures but a lot of sunshine during the day tomorrow. Thats the dry day. Then here comes this storm on sunday. The timing of it is going be crucial because if it comes in in the morning, it will be snowing. Even in philadelphia, northern delaware, parts of south jersey. But it may j hold to the north and west and these areas way below freezing and surely starting as snow. And thats where it could accumulate. Here we are noontime, a little bit darker blue indicating a little bit heavier snow. So some accumulation up in Lehigh Valley and berks county. But were counting on such a warmup in much of the area that its mainly rain. And as you get ready for the super bowl and during the super bowl and after the super bowl, it is raining. And even up toward allentown and reading you sioux see those temperatures up near 40 greeds. Then as the cold air comes in, it clears out. So monday is pretty pretty chilly. And of course its cold as we go through the day today. Now, the weekend, just cold and sunny tomorrow. He suffered injuries when he fell down a set of stairs inside the pi house at penn state. He had been served 18 drinks in 22 minutes. Today his parents spoke to nbs Meg Megyn Kelly about their son. His room is untouched. The slightest little thing can set you off and take you by surprise. And essentially cripple you. Yesterday his parents released a letter saying its important to talk openly.
