Breaking right now, someone shot and killed two women including one in a wheelchair in a home in oxford circle. Now police are trying to figure out who pulled the trigger and why. Reporter were learning from sources that theres a man in homicide this morning, and theyre tweeting that man as a witness. And that man apparently told investigators that he was inside this home here at oxford circle, and he was hiding in the closet during the shooting to stay safe. Police say late last night someone came to this home and shot two women to death. One of them was in a wheelchair. That woman was found on the first floor. Police tell us shes 66 years old. The other woman was found also found shot in the head in the up stairs hallway. Police say they believe at this time they live at this address. Investigators described the scene as brutal. And heres why they might be spending more time at this home. At this time were not certain of the motive, but were going to take your time since the entire scene is indoors. Reporter at this time police are still looking for the shooter. We learned from Police Sources earlier this morning they found a weapon, a gun inside the home. At this time they dont know who the gun belongs to. We also learned from sources that the swat team had to be called out here to unjam that weapon. Police have not released the name of the man shot and killed by a Police Officer yesterday morning. Inentire incident began with a hitandrun and then a violent attack. Video shows the suspect running over and then a concerned citizen blocks him from leaving the scene. Thats when the offduty officer c confronts the suspect, and thats when the attack began. The officer is on administrative leave, which is typical when police are involved in a shooting. For a second day a Police Officer who survived an ambush attack will confront him face fooface. He was sick when it happened and working with his partner. He saw a man with a gun and then he heard 13 rounds. He told jurors he tried to shield himself but soon felt the pain of his injuries and wondered when it would stop. Hes facing attempted murder charges in his shooting. He hasnt returned to work since the shooting and has lost so much strengthen, he says, he cant even lift a grocery bag. A fire that started in a single row home spread to two other homes nearby.
