And she says i dont watch football or know anything ability the game, but if you do take the septa broad street line or driving around south philly this weekend, it might be a good idea to Pay Attention to a couple of trips here to help you out to avoid some of the traffic situations and congestion you might encounter. You see the broad street line here. Its going to be a busy stop. A couple of things septa is doing for sunday only there will be a special discounted round trip pass that you can buy for 4. And you can use that on the broad street line. And on game day you can buy those passes. Another thing will be extra service. There will be 14 broad street express trips every 14 minutes leading up to the game. Wave also been talking to philly police how they are planning not just keep the stadium area secure but also the rest of the city. Police have two people in custody after a worker foiled an attempted robbery at a beer store in philadelphias germantown neighborhood. One of the suspects forced the owner to open the register and then ran sakded her apartment over the store. While that was happening a worker pressed an alarm to alert police. Officers arrested a man and a teenage girl who was with him. No one was hurt. And now an update on the story we brought you as breaking news at 11 00. People have arrested a man who ran into a philadelphia house with a gun and got into a standoff with a swat team. He ran into a house where people were squatting. Eight people came out and told investigators about the man in the house. Weve now learned the gunman who killed a deputy u. S. Martial in harrisburg yesterday is from philadelphia. It happened on mulberry street in pennsylvanias capitol city. The gunman Kevin Sturgis also died in a shootout with police. Now, investigators say sturgis had two active warrants in philadelphia. He was inside a home in harrisburg yesterday when a Fugitive Task force showed up to arrest the woman who lived there. Officers cuffed the woman and then police say sturgis opened fired on them from the second floor wounding a Police Officer and hitting deputy u. S. Martial Christopher Hill in the chest and killing him. You see a gentleman, running down the alley and down the street and an officer saying officer down, officer down. Prosecutors in the bill cosby Sexual Assault case are revisiting a rerequest denied in the last trial. They want more than a dozen accusers to testify against him. The District Attorney filed paperwork yesterday in preparation for cosbys retrial. At cosbys first trial the judge would only allow one other accuser to testify. It ended with a hung jury. The new trial is scheduled to gin in april. This weekend women in philadelphia will join women across the country in womens marches. That was last year. Tomorrows womens march on philadelphia begins at 11 00 on ben franklin parkway. Leads to a noontime rally. So expect road closures and traffic restricts in that area. The philly event along with the march across the country is to tap into the momentum last year to push for change. A blue light bulb is part of this tool kit the city is giving out to kensington residents to help fight the opioid crisis. Its meant to go in front of their homes to keep addicts from shooting up on front porches. Also in the kit are cleaning supplies and educational materials. It city will hand the supplies out at a Community Meeting tomorrow at the Salvation Army on north master street. Philadelphia takes the next step in regaining control of its School System today. Nominating committee holds its first meeting this morning to recommend 27 people for the nine Person School board. Then mayor gym kenny will make his selections for the board in march.
