He died fighting a fire in north philadelphia last saturday. He was 42 years old. Hundreds including many First Responders lined up outside of the basilica to pay their respects to the viewing while the skyline was lit with red. He and the other man charged made their first court appearances. We learned new revelations dr. James kauffman appeared via video from a jail in north jersey more than 100 miles away. Hes accused of having his wife killed. Prosecutors revealed kauffman himself has become the subject of a murder plot. Hes been moved from the Atlantic County lockup. Prosecutors allege his codefendant, ferdinand au ge llo, plotted to have the man killed to avoid being implicated. Both are charged in the 2012 murder of radio host april kauffman. Prosecutors say the doctor hired a hit man to kill her to keep her from divorcing him and exposing an illegal drug ring that he was allegedly running with the pagans motorcycle gang. New developments this morning as investigators try to solve the death of penn student blaze burnstein. Detectives issued three search warrants as part of their homicide investigation. Investigators found the body of the 19yearold in a Southern California park earlier this week. According to reports, one of the warrants details interviews with a friend who was the last known person to see bernstein alive. The warrant describes that person as nervous with catched up hands and scratched up hands and dirt under his fingernails will. The friend said he was involved in a fight club. Police have made no arrests. In philadelphia, the red cross is helping people forced out of their home on rising sun avenue after part of it collapsed. You see the bricks all over the ground. No one was hurt. Crews are checking to make sure neighboring homes are okay. This morning, police are looking for a robber who shot a man on the street in north philadelphia. Investigators say the 63yearold victim was walking on girard avenue last night when a man on a bike came up to rob him. The victim handed over the cash, but the robber shot him in the leg anyway. The victim is expected to be okay. With a new governor about to be sworn in, chances are on the rise for new jersey to legalize marijuana. Governorelect phil murphy supports legalization and campaigned on it. Lawmakers introduced new legislation to legalize the drug for recreational use. People under 21 and older could have up to one ounce of marijuana or 16 ounces of marijuanainfused products. The garden state already has medical marijuana thats legal. And pennsylvania is moving forward with its medical marijuana program. The states first medical marijuana will be harvested later this month and will be delivered to dispensaries next month. About 50 dispensaries have permits for medical marijuana. New jersey is making the latest push for amazons newest headquarters.
