These are the feels like conditions, but the actual temperatures arent much better. Most of them are single digits. And we are looking at temperatures today that will only yet again rise into the teens. Lets talk about this cold stretch. The coldest since 1982. Do the math thats 35 years since weve had a stretch of cold this long. Today will make it 12 days that weve been below or at 33 degrees. 12 days. That is a huge stretch to be right around or below freezing. Sundays morning forecast is one degree. Now, its been teetering one degree below, one above, regardless when youre that cold the last time that we were below zero right around that territory it was 1994, so this is going to be some brutally cold air. Stam for delaware around 17 for the temperature this afternoon. Sunny to mostly sunny conditions. Again, sunshine may help a little bit, but its those winds that cut right through you that are going to be the issue. Lets talk about those winds. There are the gusts around lunchtime around 30, 35 Miles Per Hour gusts. I think thats as high as theyll get today but still thats going to be very hard to walk outside in. And then at 6 00 winds dying down a tad, gusts to about 25 Miles Per Hour. Look though as we get tomorrow 8 00 a. M. This is why were going to kill that first alert around tomorrow morning.
