If the legislation passes, it would bring the first overhaul of the u. S. Tax code in 31 years. The met suspended its longtime Conductor James Levine yesterday while it investigates reports of sexual misconduct. Hes one of worlds most famous conductors. At 74, he spent most of his years at the met. The allegations come from 2016 that he abused a teenage boy. He said it began at 1985 at a summer Music Festival and continued for years. The New York Times says its identified two other men who claim they had sexual encounters with levine beginning the summer of 1968 when they were teenagers at a music school in michigan. In a Statement Released on twitter, the metropolitan opera says its deeply disturbed by reports of levine and their relationship with the conductor is suspended. Levine will not be involved in any met activities including conducting scheduled performances at the met this season.
