We spoke to his former roommate who said he was someone who generally kept his calm. He remembers how he reacted when people were following them on a latenight run to wawa. One person tried to take his phone, he swatted his arm. He turned and said, what are you doing, go away, im going to call the cops. He had a concealed carry permit. His roommate said he carried it to feel safer in the offcampus neighborhood. We asked police how the encounter escalated, but were told theyre not releasing any more information now. Parents in Montgomery County are concerned after learning a trusted karate instructor is charged of sexually assaulting three of his teenage students.
