This large tree fell on the back of a car in brook haven shutting down dut ton mill road for a time. No one was inside the car when the tree came down and right now traffic is once again moving. This is for the entire area and this includes periods of heavy rain. We could see another two to three inches of rain tonight. Isolated thunderstorms and street flooding and strong gusty winds that could bring down more power lines and trees like the ones you just saw. Heres what were dealing with. These bright shades of orange, steady and heavy rain showers. In the philadelphia area right now, were starting to see the rain pick up as the game was very lucky, everybody at the eagles game because now it will start to rain steadily and well see rain blowing sideways at times. Through reading and limb rick and charlestown, east noting ham, middletown, were seeing heavy rain. We go over here to the jersey shore, cape may heavy rain and heavy rain and back towards toms river and ship bottom, very heavy rain. This will continue to move northward. There was a shooting outside of king of prussia mall two haurz ago. Police shot a robbery suspect. Viewers found out about the breaking news story right after it happened. Steve fisher joins us from king of prussia mall. What did you find out . Reporter denise, this all happened right outside nordstroms connected to the king of prussia mall. To be specific, it happened inside this green parking deck second floor. You can see still security here on scene. I can tell you theres still officers inside this parking deck as this scene is active. Since we arrived the suspect shot by police is a repeat robbery suspect. Police told us yesterday afternoon the same man was here at the green parking tech and confronted a woman about to get in her car and used a gun and took the womans purse and drove off in this dark kia suv. Then saw the suspect again so they boxed in his car and it is unclear what led to the shooting but did know him from yesterdays occurrence with the gun and woman and purse. The suspect has since been taken to the hospital. Were working to learn more about who he is and his condition. Were expecting to hear from police pretty soon here at the mall and for about an hour the mall was on a partial lockdown. Nobody else fortunately was injured here today. They have since shut down this section of the green parking deck as that remains an active scene but most of the other mall theres still a lot of customers coming in and out and drivers getting in and out of the parking garage as well. The only people weve seen who had to head out to the work or store were carrying rain jackets. Cars had to drive pretty slowly through the roads. On the bay, the water has been mostly calm but again the wind as that begins to pick up becomes a concern for the people who live near those bulkhead walls and they are hoping it didnt zet too windy tonight. On our drive up from atlantic county, we had the intense pounding rain on the windshield as well as heavy, heavy winds and street flooding. It was pretty bad. Gusty winds, wind driven surf and major downpours unleashed a beating on central and south jersey through the afternoon. Nbc 10 first alert chief meteorologist tammy souza is twraking the storms path. Some moisture is tropical moisture pulled north from a system and philippe well to the south of us. Philadelphia county and lower portion of the pennsylvania sush suburbs and Lehigh Valley and all of new jersey, that is under a Flash Flood Watch. Weve already seen in some places more than an inch and well see another 2 to 4 inches in some places tonight. This Flash Flood Watch is through 4 00 tomorrow morning. If youre going to be out and about driving around, please bear in mind theres going to be localized flooding and power lines probably down from high winds and maybe trees down and storm gutters blocked by all of those leaves that have fallen. Watch out for the ponding on the roadways, Doppler Radar is lit up. Lots of heavy rain moving through right now. Now its making its way through philadelphia and lower pennsylvania suburbs and haverford and over in new jersey looking at heavy rain, cherry hill. Then we head off to allentown, reading and new morgan. We slide south and fairhill, heavier rain. West sadsbury heavier rain. Morris river, heavier rain, its tapered off a little bit on the jersey shore but dont get too excited its going to move back in your area. Look at what we have coming from the south. We have a lot of moisture thats streaming in. This is going to continue well into midnight. Even cold enough so in the mountain regions of west virginia, were looking at some snow, some very cold air is wrapping around around the back side of this. Lets go hour by hour. Temperatures in the 60s and east wind. Heavy periods of rain. Tomorrow morning at about 1 00 to 2 00 in temperatures in the 50s. The winds turn to the west and thats going to be a much cooler wind that moves in by 11 30 tomorrow. The rain is out of here but well be looking at 52 degrees.
