Some breaking news were watching this morning. A tractortrailer fire has shut down i295 northbound at route 141 in new castle county. Delaware state Police Tweeted the picture of the scene a short while ago working to find out if there are any injuries. What we do know is an accident has shut down lanes on route 42 southbound at the exit in gloucester township, camden county. Watching these crashes in south jersey. This accident happened a little after 3 30 this morning. Two people are hurt but were trying to learn how badly theyve been injured. Well stay on this and update you as we get new information. About 100 yards if that first accident theres another one in the opposite lanes. The driver may have been looking at the first accident, lost control of the car. It flipped over. At least one person is hurt and went to the hospital. New overnight two men are fighting for their lives following what investigators are calling a brutal stabbing in logan. Police responded to north park avenue around 1 00 this morning where they found the men with a number of stab wounds. Officers rushed them to einstein medical center. Right now there are no arrests in the case. The 16yearold accused of shooting and killing two other teens in south philadelphia will remain in jail. Yesterday a judge denied bail for Brandon Olivieri but his lawyer is promising a legal fight. Drew smith was the only reporter inside the courtroom when olivieri was charged with killing 16yearold salvator dinubile and caleer miller. The teen said little and kept quiet as the judge read the charges against him. Prosecutors plan to try him as an adult. Friends of the victim tell us theyre still stunned that an argument turned into a double murder. I just cant believe it was him. He was such a good kid. Sal dinubile was laid to rest yesterday. The lines were so long at the church hundreds of people who tried to get into the funeral could only sign the guest book outside. Count on nbc 10 for updates and alerts on this double murder case. This surveillance camera captured it all. How the Daring Rescue unfolded. Reporter Surveillance Video shows the frantic moments in north philadelphia. The desperate attempt to get everyone out safely. My son woke me up. He said he smelled smoke. Reporter the man you see running back into his house is vince brown. He lives next door to the home that was on fire. I ran around the house, grabbed my fire extinguisher. Reporter as the flames shot out of the first floor, firefighters began to arrive. I noticed these people up top were trying to get out of the house because they couldnt get out because of the fire. Reporter after getting his wife and children out of the house, he found a way to help three neighbors including a grandmother and young child. I realized i could get them out through my bedroom. Reporter you can see them coming out of browns house. One woman had to be taken to the hospital but hes thankful when he had a chance to help his neighbors, he was there. Jump into action, see what we could do on my side to help them out. Thats what i did. The septa station will be closed to those who use the north high speed line. Between this monday and sunday, december 10th, trains will not stop at the villanova high speed line station. Riders should use the nearby stadium station less than half a mile away. This Weekend Police all across the country joined forces with the dea to collect expired and unused prescription drugs. Its an attempt to keep them out of the wrong hands and prevent overdose deaths. Reporter throughout the country saturday an allout effort to save lives. Local police and the Drug Enforcement agency joining forces in all 50 states to get old and unused prescription drugs out of peoples homes. Theres so much of it in society that it has to touch your heart that you have to try to do everything you can to help decrease the opioid problem. Reporter a Public Health emergency and thats just one part of it. The federal government says 64,000 people died in 2016 from drug overdose. We dont like responding to those calls. Most people who abuse prescription drugs get them from family or friends. People will get their hands on it somehow. If we can cut back on the usage. Reporter this was the 14th National Prescription drug takeback day the dea has a strong effort to keep drugs from falling into the wrong hands. Last april we did it, collected in the state of maryland over five tons of drugs and nationwide collected over 4,000 tons. Reporter more than 8 million have been destroyed since the program started and a Public Health emergency every pill counts. Police in our area in Montgomery County participated in the collection effort. Residents dropped off expired and unwanted medications during last years event police collected nearly 38,000 pounds across the state of pennsylvania. Any way the government could touch your life could end up in the commonwealth court. Certainly tax assessments and issues involving nonprofits, open records and so on. Gurriel was caught on camera two nights ago pulling the corners of his eyes making a racial facial gesture towards dodgers yu darvish who is japanese. Were not showing the gesture. The league will suspend gurriel without pay for the first five games next year but he will be able to be in the remaining games of this years ongoing world series.
