Holly and a few areas in the pennsylvania suburbs on the chilly side, but look at coatesville, wilmington, upper 40s to around 50 degrees, that is not a bad start for temperatures. Heres look at radar and satellite view. Clear as can be again. We dont have a cloud to track. No rain to worry about in this forecast. At least not for a few more days. Of course this has to come to a stop sooner or later. And as we get into your next workweek thats when we will see a chance of rain return. How about those temperatures . So, on our friday we have a high of 74 degrees. Average this time of year is mid 60s. Look at today, were talking upper 70s in the forecast. As we go to sunday well drop to 74. And then well stay in the 70s monday. And then how about, yeah, tuesday well stay in the 70s too as we get into tuesday though thats when the chance of rain starts to return to the forecast. The question is, will it take us back down to the mid 60s average conditions for this time of year . Were going to talk more about that temperature trend throughout the next ten days. Attorney general Jeff Sessions will be in philadelphia today speaking at a Global Police chief conference in center city. The 124th annual conference will touch on everything from Police Shootings to new technology. Nbc10s Randy Gyllenhaal is live at the Pennsylvania Convention center where police are expected to mix with protesters. Tell us about it, randy. Reporter yeah, were expecting thousands of Police Officers from all over the world to attend this conference. Its a discussion and an education opportunity, as you mentioned a lot of sessions on police work, Police Technology and even officerinvolved shootings. But this Conference Also tends to bring out a lot of protests. Already you can see barricades that theyve put up here outside of the Convention Center. And one of the keynote speakers today is going to get a lot of attention, attorney general Jeff Sessions will speak at 9 00 a. M. To this gathering of cops. Hes expected to talk about initiatives to reduce violent crime. Sessions has spent the summer clashing with philadelphia and other big cities over its sanctuary city policies. The sessions doj even threatening to take away federal Public Safety funds from cities like philly. Now, philly argues that its policies dont violate the law and actually keep the city safer because undocumented immigrants will cooperate with law enforcement. But already we are seeing some planned protests ahead of this conference that has been organized on facebook. We will continue to track those protests as well as the big speech today at 9 00 a. M. Two philadelphia women are under arrest charged with attacking a Police Officer inside a 7eleven store in frankford. Its video of the incident that has gone viral this week. Heres what we know, an employee told police that he believed that suspects lashea whitaker and brown had shoplifted from the store the night before, when they returned the next day he asked them to leave. Thats when the women allegedly started punching and kicking the employee. Police say brown grabbed a bottle of lighter fluid and threatened to burn the store down. The employee managed to get outside and lock the women inside the store. When police arrived, the women took swings at an officer. Whitaker and brown now face multiple charges including aggravated assault and making terroristic threats. Lets head now to southwest philadelphia where neighbors are mourning the loss of a friend killed in a hitandrun crash. This as police are releasing new video of the car involved. Neighbors came together last night to remember 57yearold Richard Brennan who was killed sunday night crossing the street. Police have released this video of the suspects van. Investigators believe its either a gray Dodge Caravan or chrysler town country. Its likely to have front end damage and a broken windshield. Investigators say the driver hit brennan at the intersection of south 67th street and lynnmore avenue on sunday night. Brennan died at the scene. Police are asking if you have any information to give them a call. This morning, police are also giving new details of a street lottery sting, happened in philadelphia, that was years in the making. Investigators tell us this man, gary cray, was the mastermind. They arrested him and eight others yesterday on corruption and conspiracy charges. Police say crays operation would let people place illegal bets on the state lottery ranging from 10 cents to 20. They say cray would attract players by offering winners a taxfree 7001 return. Legal payout is 5001. As for where the Illegal Betting was happening, police say there were more than three dozen locations all across the city. All of the sites were unmarked buildings run by people in crays organization. According to investigators cray pocketed more than 3 million over the last two decades. Lets head now to south jersey where police in Camden County say theyve arrested a man who stabbed a laundromat employee on thursday. Investigators tell us the man walked into the belmar laundromat on browning road, robbed the worker and took off with the cash register. We spoke with one woman who works at the laundromat. She tells us she felt uneasy coming into work yesterday. I was uncomfortable. And when i was asked if i could, you know, cover this morning, i was very nervous. The arrested suspect faces a list of charges including Armed Robbery and aggravated assault. Philadelphia police are bonding with kids over basketball. Last night the department met kids from point breeze on the court for the annual peace not guns memorial game.
