Its been a busy hurricane season. Tropical storm nate, residents along the gulf coast are bracing for a blast of wind and heavy wind. The storm is already to blame for at least 22 deaths in central america. Nate dumped heavy rain and caused flooding in countries, including el salvador, nickearaa nicaragua. Authorities placed the whole country on alert to warn of landslides and flooding. The moisture from nate could bring rain to our area. Nbc 10s first alert meteorologist glenn hurricane schwartz joins us to track this storm. Glenn . Its pretty much a sure bet were going to get at least some of the rain from the leftovers of nate. That would be mostly early next week. Unfortunately, were starting to see more of a circulation right around the center. Thunderstorms almost wrapping around totally. If that happens, it has a chance to strengthen fairly rapidly. Its moving to the north, northwest, so generally in between yucatan and also western cuba. Right in the general direction of the gulf coast. And theres no way for it to miss the united states. It just cant possibly. The winds are up to 60 miles per hour. Its moving fast, so that limits the number of hours of potential strengthening we have here. By saturday afternoon, its close to hurricane strength. And getting fairly close to new orleans. The track takes it somewhere between new orleans and pensacola, florida, and then by sunday afternoon its already way inland as a Tropical Storm. And by monday afternoon, its just a tropical depression but its right on top of us. And thats when the rain is going to be coming. We need the rain, we just dont need too much rain. The mother of the student who was attacked says her son, josh, is physically and emotionally upset and doesnt want to go back to school. She says her son had been arguing about a girl with a class mate and this happened. My son said he felt a punch to the back of his head. The boy jumped over the table and continued to punch my son. Josh was suspended for using foul language before the video started. The School District will not say what happened to the boy who threw the punches, however. Hes in charge with offensive touching. New details are emerging tonight in a Las Vegas Shooting investigation. As investigators continue to work around the clock to hone in on the gunmans motive. The debate over a device the killer used to make his guns more deadly continues. They are called bump stocks. Now some lawmakers want to ban them. The device can turn a semi automatic rifle into a nearly fully automatic weapon. It allows it to unload bullets in seconds. In delaware, both u. S. Senators cosigned a bill that would ban bump stocks. There have been positive comments from both republicans and democrats in the house and senate about acting to remove from the market trigger cranks and bump stocks. Thats not for sport, thats not for hunting. The bill closes a loophole that allows weapons to be easily modified into automatic weapons. Five days after the vegas shooting, a major gun show opened in montgomery county. Many in line waiting to enter the show told us they support a ban on bump stocks. I dont need anything like that. But left the store without getting any cash. In mercer county, a trenton man is charged with animal cruelty after Authorities Say he threw a puppy from a third floor window. Police say a 19yearold Anthony Matlock threw the four month old dog during a fit of rage. The puppy landed in a vacant property and had to be rescued by firefighters. Doctors were able to fix his broken leg with surgery. In newcastle count a Research Company opened its new Global Headquarters today in wilmington. The new facility houses 700 employees. Just a chance of a shower. Same thing with the second quarter. The temperature not changing very much as we go through the game. Third quarter, 78 degrees. Fourth quarter, 78. If there are going to be any thunderstorms, it would be more likely to be towards the end of the game or just after the game. Its 80 in philadelphia now. Maybe more sunshine tomorrow. Then tomorrow night, we start clouding up and there could be some showers as early as sunday morning. This is not the tropical moisture, at least not yet. But as you can see there are some showers in the area. And the better chance happens sunday night and into monday as we start getting some of that tropical moisture from nate coming in during the day. Some of it on the heavy side as well. And it will be moving in to more warm waters, so it does have a chance to strengthen as it heads toward the gulf coast and close to new orleans as we go into the weekend. And then it makes that right turn and all the models are showing this, so thats why im sure well be getting rain from this. Its much needed rain. Its been long time since we had any. 60 mile an hour winds with nate. Fortunately its moving fast. It has less time to strengthen than the other hurricanes that weve seen so far this season. Amanda says she found a photographer through a facebook ad. She called the number, and the two hit it off. She seemed really genuine and nice. Reporter the couple agreed to pay the photographers 300 fee, a price below the average of more than 2 houn dolla 2,000. She wrote two checks, one for 150 up front and the balance just days before the september 29th wedding. On the 28th she wrote me a message and said im sorry i cant do your wedding tomorrow. Reporter amanda says the shock was overwhelming. I started crying. Because i wanted pictures of my big day. I worked so hard for that day. And potentially not having any pictures was heartbreaking. Reporter is this the contract . Yes. Reporter this contract she signed promises a refund if the photographer doesnt show up. But amanda says her calls and Text Messages for a refund were not returned. So she called nbc 10 responds to help warn others. We called the photographer, once we identified helourselves and asked her amandas situation she hung up and did not answer our additional calls.
