This morning, a south Jersey School is shut down after mold is found everywhere from the classrooms to the hallways. Parents are outraged as they try to figure out if their children were put at risk. Nbc10s Randy Gyllenhaal joins us live from holly glen elementary in gloucester county. Whats the school saying . Reporter there is mold in the classrooms, in the hallways, even in the library. And this is forcing the school and the district to decide that they will shut down this south jersey elementary school. And yesterday, parents here were actually shown a number of pictures of the mold including this one here on a beam above one of the ceilings inside of the school. Yesterday an auditorium full of parents went to a board of education meeting. Some gave the board an earful after the report revealed mold here. Students will be bussed to other schools in the district when classes resume on tuesday. The Monroe TownshipPublic School superintendent told us that a crew will clean up the school, replace the outdate hvac system, but it will be closed for months. State officials i want a full report because this is my baby. Reporter several parents said that they want every Single School in this district tested for mold. New this morning, a 17yearold boys in Critical Condition after someone shot him in upper darby delaware county. Sky force 10 was over the scene on coverly road last night. So far, no arrests. This morning, the National Rifle association is calling for new regulations on bump stocks in the aftermath of the deadly las vegas massacre. Senior republicans said they would consider the legislation. The bump stock can be attached to a semiautomatic rifle to make it rapped fire like a fully automatic rifle. Dozens were found in the shooters room in las vegas. A gun shop owner in jeffersonville says hes getting calls about bump stocks but doesnt have any available. A responsible gun owner, you do it in a controlled environment. I dont see anything wrong with it. There is no reason why anyone anywhere has to have a weapon like that. A local group marched to a Congressional Office in westchester last night to demand sensible gun laws and a ban on bump stocks. Meantime, a weekend gun show starts today at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center in oaks. One dealer told us you may not see bump stocks for sale because theyre not something a large majority of gun owners would buy. A gun show that was scheduled for las vegas this weekend has been canceled. Organizers made the decision in light of the tragedy and are planning to reschedule for later this year. New from overnight, the classwork county Coroners Office clark county Coroners Office released the official list of the People Killed in the las vegas massacre. It includes the names of the 58 gunned down at the outdoor concert and the name of the gunman, stephen paddock, who killed himself. Now investigators are looking into whether pad pock scoped out other targets. After looking at his browsing internet on browsing his computer and the internet he looked at chicago. He did searches on fenway park in boston, as well. Investigators are learning more about the gunman from his girlfriend, mary lou danley. According to fbi officials, she remembers paddock lying in bed, moaning and screaming, and he displayed Mental Health symptoms. The fbi has not identified a clear motive for the deadly mass shooting. People gathered for this candlelight vigil in las vegas to remember one of the victims. Las vegas Police OfficerCharleston Hartfield was one of the 58 killed in the mass shooting. For the second time in 24 hours, a motorcyclist died on the schuylkill expressway, and pl m police had to shut it down. It happened near the girard avenue exit last night. The motorcyclist crashed in the eastbound lanes and landed on the westbound side. The lanes reopened earlier this morning. A stretch of 76 eastbound had to be shut down yesterday morning, youll remember, after a deadly motorcycle crash. That crash happened around 3 00 a. M. And disrupted traffic through the morn rush hour. Police say that the morning rush hour. Police say that driver lost control and was hit by a car. Philadelphia police on the hunt for a Sexual Assault suspect who took off when the neighbor confronted him. The man pushed in the womans door in the olney neighborhood before 7 00 yesterday morning. Then investigators say the man forced the woman upstairs, demanded money, and sexually assaulted her. He left the house with her keys. When the suspect tried to start the car, a neighbor confronted him and managed to disarm him after a struggle. The suspect ran off. The manhunt for a killer in the Lehigh Valley that we told you about yesterday ended with a standoff on the side of the road. This morning, the suspect is in custody, accused of killing his cousin. John hand is the man inside this pickup truck that police had their weapons trained on for hours. Wednesday, an argument with his cousin and his wife ended with gunshots. Mullner died at the scene, his wife is in serious condition. Hand was upset that none of his family was willing to help him tang care of his specialneeds sister who may have witnessed the killing. He gave up everything for her. He gave up his life. I think he was just it was too much stress on him. Hands sister was in the truck with him during the standoff, as well. However, hand released her before ultimately turning himself in. Now police are trying to find someone who look after her. Hand is in jail this morning with no bond. Today the philadelphia sheriff will sign a new transgender policy making it the first Sheriffs Department in pennsylvania with such a policy. It governs the Sheriffs Department interaction and treatment of transgender people in custody. The goal is to ensure that transgender people are treated with dignity. In north jersey, police say a 9yearold boy fell from the deck and died yesterday afternoon. Investigators say that rail should have held him back, gave way while he was playing. It happened in perth amboy around 5 30. A second boy who may be a cousin also fell. He was conscious and alert in the hospital last night. At last check. Police dont know what caused the railing to fail. A sex scandal has prompted a pennsylvania congressman to resign after first saying he jld u he would not run for reelection. Tim murphy will step down on 21st. The prolife congressman asked his mistress to get an abortion. He said he didnt send the messages, and it was a staffer whoa wrote them instead. A leaked memo also accused murphy of creating a hostile work environment. House Speaker Paul Ryan says hes spoken directly with representative murphy.
