This man was trying to stop the flames and do everything he could to save his wife, right . This is one of the stories. The more details were learning, the more heartbreaking it is. That man was seen by eyewitnesses rushing in and out of his home behind me here, grabbing things, trying to put out the fire all while looking for his wife who he did not know had made it to safety. This all happened inside the home on west 37th street and wimbledon last night, around in wilmington last night, around 11 30. The man was driving home last night and saw fire coming from the first floor. He stopped and said he saw the man who lives here, a man who goes by archie, and known to many neighbors, running into the flames with a garden hose. He yelled to archie not to go inside the house, but archie was trying to finds his wife. It turns out that archies wife was on the firstfloor roof. She had made it to safety and called 911, but her husband did not know she was okay. He ran around the side of the house to get a house, came back to find her. She was outside yelling the whole time. He didnt know. He did what any husband should do with a wife. He went in there to try to find her. And he didnt make it out. Reporter the man you heard from, he tells me his stepmother is at christiana hospital being treated. He saw her and said while she had serious injuries, she is expected to be okay. The man behind the controls during a deadly amtrak Train Derailment will try today to have the criminal charges against him dismissed. That will last through the afternoon on our wednesday. Actually thursday, as well. We will see scattered showers roll on by the area. Not a washout or flooding rain, but showers throughout. This is by friday at 8 00 a. M. It may downgrade to a Tropical Storm before it powers back up to a category 1. It is not likely to get any stronger.
