An officer in that unit had a Confederate Flag on the license plate the of his personal car and allowed to park on City Property. We have a lot more of this flow coming up from the south. Thats because the whole system isnt moving. The center of rotation is over the great lakes and blocked by an area of High Pressure off to the east across the atlantic. Thats the same High Pressure thats staring irma toward the united states. So were going to watch scatt scattered showers move through. Isolated thunderstorms are possible. Tomorrow only in the low 70s. We hit 71 today. We might hit 73 tomorrow. We are looking at the possibility of some wrap around showers from that center of rotation over the great lakes. On friday, i dont think its going to be as widespread. Saturday we clear out. It will be cooler, but well have a lot of sunshine. Now irma, 185 miles an hour winds. Look at the welldefined eye. Thats larger than most islands. Lets take a look as it moves past some of the islands. I want to give you an idea of what these people went through. It moved right over st. Martin. Look at that eye. Also moving through, you can see it as the eye moves through. Entire islands within the eye of this hurricane. Lets make a comparison here. This is amazing. Around the eye, we have the strongest winds. Those could be up to 185 mile an hour winds. Thats like being in a tornado nor 35 minutes. Same wind speed, but youre going to be stuck in that with all that destruction for nearly an hour with strong winds on both sides of that. We also have Something Else to talk about. Irma is not alone. We have jose out here. Category 1 hurricane just formed. And then we have katya in the gulf of mexico. This is going to move on to the mexican mainland.
