10 out of 14 with 2 touchdowns tonight. Heinicke can convert. Cris i bet you he brings the house. Al a small house. And the pass is caught. For a first down by cayleb jones. He brought it up that time. Five guys. Cris well, sent everybody out. Thats one of the offensive weapons against that blitz is spread them out. And then you have to cover. Al rushed out of the pocket again. Racing to the sideline. And that stops the clock with 1 13. And a flag is thrown in the end of the play. Holding, offense number 76. Tenyard penalty, replay first down. Cris avion. I was hoping he wouldnt make a play too soon. He was holding pita taumoepenu. Say it fast enough. Al of course. Thats the trick. On first and 20. Thats caught at the 32 yard line. Going to be about six yards shy of the first down. Teddy bridgewater looking on from the sideline. Boy, we sure hope he can make it back some day. Fourman rush here. And a little short of the first down, rodney adams. That will stop the clock with 45 seconds. Cris sometimes you get Unsung Heroes in a drive like this, right . Saving his quarterback one more time. You can see the eyes all the way across the formation all the way and heinicke saw enough of it to slide out, a third down opportunity now set up. Al third and two. This is the tenth play of the drive. All of them passes. Yep. It will get automatic first down here. So forget what happens on the rest of the play. Usually jumped off. That was aaron lynch. Coming across. Creating the freebie first down. Offsides offense number 59 fiveyard penalty, results in a first day. Cris not just an accident. Heinicke had to go hard count there on a third and short knowing if he got somebody to jump he had the first down and saleh not happy about it at all. Right off the right side. Smelling that sack. Al 37 seconds. Flushed out. And again stepping out of bounds with 30 seconds. So you got half a minute. You got a second down and nine. Cris these are great opportunities for tight ends in this moment. Even if there is coverage. You dont have to worry about as a receiver getting hit underneath the chin. Pretty much go up with unity now and see what pat shurmur dials up here. Al speaking of coverage, not much in play here. Second down and ten. The pass is incomplete. Flag is thrown, however. For what its worth, vikings came in and favored by roughly 6. 5. Who wants to be that precise anyway, right . Cris you can be anything you want right now. The ball had left the quarterbacks hands. However, we have holding by the offense. Number 68. Tenyard penalty, play second down. Cris missed it by one. Im pretty sure it was collins out there who saw the blitzer coming off the edge. Reached out and grabbed the blitzer. Watch this right here on the tail end of it. He does his job. Gets the first guy. Sees the second guy. Being called. Al time off the clock on these penalty plays. Were down to 26. And so still has if they ever get to it. Tries to control in the middle. Thats caught. Probably use one here i would assume and they will as the catch is made by cayleb jones. Going to make it third down and eight. I know one thing im happy they put the twopoint diversion in. Arent you . Cris i think theyll go for the tie here. Well get a lot of action. Al ill take that bet. Cris yeah. You know, it would be a nice finish for heinicke to get this one in. Clearly didnt practice much this week and he is just in pain sucking it up. Trying to tie it up for al. Al yeah, sure. Tie one on here. Back foot is caught and seven yard line. Did he stay inbounds . He did. They have to take a timeout here. They have one left and they do take it for the first and goal coming up next. Cris sore ribs and make this throw, watch this fadeaway jumper here. Either heinicke sucking it up. Making plays. Ugh that one hurt. Get out of bounds boy, if you have its a totally different situation here, right . You have a timeout left. Now you have nothing but throws to the end zone. Dont really have to worry about the run game. Al all hes left with. End zone or bust. First and goal. Man alive. He is trying to do everything he can to stay together. Gutsy, gutsy drive by this guy. Who once passed for 730 yards in a division i game when he was at old dominion. So ten ticks remaining. First and goal from the five. Sevenpoint game. Fourman rush to the end zone and knocked down at the goal line. Cris luckily knocked down because he would have been short of the end zone and the clock would have expired. Al the clock shows five seconds and asa jackson who knocked it down. Cris really had to come out of the end zone to try to make the catch and that would have been game over. Al yep. Game would have ended on the one yard line. Jackson is there. Five seconds remaining. Baltimore and detroit for asa jackson. N now trying to win a spot with the 49ers. Likely the final play of the game. Throws no the flag is thrown. And you have got interference on San Francisco which would put the ball at the one yard line. Keith reaser is the defensive back. You will have one play. Stacy coley the intended receiver. Pass interference. Defense number 27. The ball was at the one yard line. Automatic first down. Al almost came down with it after the total juggle act. Cris did you see the jersey tug . Thats what they call automatically. The hand hit the football without really looking at it. You cant tug on it like that. Al this is it barring a defensive foul in terms of regulation. And theyre going to run it into the end zone Terrell Newby to make it a onepoint game. Boy, thats some drive by heinicke. Look at him. Stay in and most likely go for two. Cris great double team here pushing right back into the end zone and then newby pushes it across. Al they will go for two so your prayer has been answered. Ready for play signal. Please set the play clock at 20 seconds please. Thank you. Cris interesting. You have a favorite twopoint play and not see it here. So theyll come up with something that they dont love in this moment to win the game. Second short timeout at the half. San francisco. This is a 30second timeout. Al that scoring drive taking 3 44 but seemed like it took half the night. Heinicke rolling out left and right and converted on a fourth down. He had two running plays including one for the touchdown. 12 passing plays. Two penalties. Make two out of three on third down. And then have a chance to win the game. Grimacing throughout the whole drive. Gutsy. Cris good stuff. You run it for the touchdown. Think about running it again. Al 6 out of 8. What do you got . Cris take a look at coley down here at the bottom. One on one. Lets see what you have. Al little emotion to the slot left. Heinicke chased back. Can he get into the end zone . He can and the vikings win the game. Cris ends just as it should. Lock at that. Preseason game and we got a walkoff home run celebration going on. Fireworks. Love it. Al thats the regular season. Thats the game of the week. Taylor heinicke. Wow. Cris they were trying to go quick screen with the line men coming out here underneath the wide receiver to coley. Didnt feel good about it. And heinicke takes off and has to dive with the bad ribs right at the pylon. And here comes everybody. This is a heck of a celebration. This is everybody fired up and heinicke probably just made the team. Al or somebodys team. If he doesnt wind up here. Thats pretty good. Really good. Cris think hes thinking about the ribs here . No. Hes going for the win. Go get it. Yeah love it. Al adrenaline plus. 3231. Cris welcome at the celebration. I love that. Al man oh man. 3231, minnesota wins it. Weeks from thursday, foxboro. The season begins. Kansas city against new england. And then sunday night football two weeks from tonight, the giants against the dallas cowboys. Sunday night opener.
