It has cleared pennsylvania but its whats already on the ground has prompted a Flash Flood Warning for parts of philadelphia, lower montgomery, bucks and mercer county. That will end in 45 minutes. The showers have ended for trenton and philadelphia. Heavy downpores in Burlington County. Then theres this, heavy rainfall from cape may courthouse through cape may and into lewis, delaware. Lots of lightning in the area, especially around cape may courthouse. This area is also under a Flash Flood Warning. This warning expires in 45 minutes. This warning in effect until 7 15, thanks to the heavy rain thats falling and the rain that is still coming down. During the day, clearing skies, improving conditions. Showers taper off at the shore. With will see sunshine take over. 6 00 a. M. , 75 degrees. Will be a warm day. The warming process starts at 9 00, 77 and into the low 80s at lnch time. New from overnight, police want to find the killer who ambush a man as he sat in his car. Investigators say the victim was parked on longshore avenue in the citys mayfair section when the killer walked up and shot at least 12 shots. The victim made it out of his car but died on the sidewalk. A 16yearold girl is charged with murdering a man in camden. Prosecutors are withholding the name for now. They say shes from berlin borough. Last week they say she shot a 21yearold pennsauken man in camden. He died yesterday. No word on a motive. Show me your hands. Show me your [ bleep ] hands. Thats the dashcam video of the traffic stop in bridgeton. Bridgeton police shot and killed the passenger in that car after he defied orders and got out of the car prosecutors say officers feared for their lives, because they knew reeds prior criminal history. The grand jury got it all wrong, says one activist. We are outraged about it. Its disappointing but not surprising. Bridgetons police chief posted a message yesterday saying he stands behind the two officers who are still on paid leave by the way. Reeds widow told nj. Com that she is disgusted by the grand jurys decision. Death in Cumberland County is still under investigation. Phillip white died shortly after this clash with sidelivineland in march. Federal agents are on the hunt for a man who robbed a local post office. Entire thing was caught on camera, Surveillance Video shows the guy coming into the oh, ford Circle Post Office in philadelphia yesterday. The robber walked right past an unsuspecting customer in the lobby and then pulled a gun and pointed it at the workers. You might like to know, like we did, who would rob a post office . The lightning is flashing at the shore. Look at the rain coming down cape may. Its tapered off on beach avenue. Not as heavy as it was. The heavy storms are just offshore. You can see the lightning at cape may while it is dry for allentown, wilmington and philadelphia, that heavy storm is now pushing offshore. Cape may courthouse seeing a lot of lightning. Thats starting to die down. Theres still plenty of lightning over delaware bay and into the ocean, cape may and lewis can see that rain easily. These are people who were lost doing what firefighters do, which is to rush towards the fire rather than away. And this morning, the governor is calling the situation unprecedented as weather conditions continue to threaten firefighters on the front lines. And its not the kind of place you may expect to be robbed but police say its happening. Next, a warning for visitors at this Camden County lake. 4 14. A heart breaking scene in washington state, a procession of emergency vehicles escorting the ambulances carrying the bodies of three firefighters who were killed on wednesday fighting a wildfire. The men were killed after their truck crashed and they were overcome by flames. Four other firefighters were injured in that. Those firefighters on the front lines face another dangerous day ahead. Unpredictable winds, soaring temperatures, still likely to cause the flames to spread in Eastern Washington state. The governor praised the courage of the 3,000 firefighters battling those fires right now raging across the dry landscape. They are people who are lost doing what firefighters do, which is to rush towards the fire rather than away. This is an unprecedent ed situation. Authorities have evacuated two towns because of the fastmoving fire in washington. More than 1,000 people forced to leave their homes. 4 16 now. Cornered by a crook in a kayak. Thats what happened to two teens at a popular fishing spot in Camden County. Authorities say a man posed as a game warden in a kayak when he approached the teens fishing on monday at newtown lake park in west collingswood. They say the man threatened to take their fishing licenses and took nearly 800 worth of rods and reels from them. We are preparing for the pope and the world meeting of families has a new exhibit aopening today at thec nationa constitution center. Its called religious liberty and the founding of america. We heard again and again from Close Friends and church and political leaders in buenos aires, they do not expect pope francis to change church doctrine. Sort of the descriptions of him as a regular guy, humble, we shouldnt mistake the fact that he is still a very traditional catholic leader. You can have this pope who is celebrated because, you know, hes on the streets. Hes a very human character and he wants to be back in touch with poor people. The doctrine is never going to change. Changes to its childrens Health Insurance program known as chip. The changes are necessary because part of chip didnt meet the new health care minimum requirements under obamacare.
