Silas not only had a heart defect but also a virus that affects the brain and a blood clot in his liver. We were told silas was the sickest kid in the icu and he wasnt going to make it. But the next day things turned around drastically, thank god. We were discharged with silas a month later. Now at age 2, hes crawling and walking with a walker, we are in love. He is the happiest boy ive ever met and is so much fun. I have complete strangers say silas has changed their lives and he has certainly changed ours. Silas has a little brother named asher and theyre best friends. Silas, thank you for choosing unconditional love. And here with us now is the family, avery, joshua, silas and new baby brother asher.
