It got hot over the week sxeshd now its about to get even hotter and the humidity is going up. The 90s, well, that continues for a while. The air quality alert in effect for much of the area and finding relief is not so easy. Beach is one of those places and the mountains in the other and indoors is the other and now we see a lot of sunshine out there, just light wind and 85 degrees with southwest at 7 and it feels like its 89 because the humidity is so much higher than it was. This is the area for the air quality alert and you can see it covers most of the area and the beaches are just fine and thats a good place to go if youre sensitive to ozone and its unhealthy for sensitive individuals as we go through the day today. Temperature, 82 in mount pocono so theres some relief there and 88 in quakertown, already 90 in coatesville, 88 in blue bell and quakertown, so its already getting pretty hot out there. 84 in Kenneth Square and in wilmington, some of the cool spots relatively speaking and 88 in northeast philly and 83 in lewis, delaware, where the southwest wind is in delaware and those beaches get pretty hot. The feels like temperature getting close to 90 degrees, already 90 in northeast philly and it will be into the 90s within the hour across a good bit of the area. Were seeing those temperatures go into at least the low 90s today and not at the shore. We have that sea breeze coming in keeping it nice and comfortable, and as we go through the night tonight the temperature is dropping down in through the 67, and when we see temperatures in the 60s at night its not that uncomfortable. Its on the way there, but weve seen a lot worse and then during the day tomorrow, once again, were heating up and into the 90s and not getting relief from thunderstorms, but eventually some of the moisture from the west will come in and start to change things. So we have our first decent chance of any kind of storm on wednesday and they become more likely on thursday. So if we dont break the heat wave on wednesday, well break it the next day. Then we get our first chance of showers and storms on wednesday that could help keep the temperature down a bit and even if we hit 90 on wednesday well get there on thursday and well have showers and thunderstorms and once we break this thing, its a little bit more comfortable as we head through the weekend, and well be right back.
