This is the breaking news weve been staying on top of since earlier today. Well have an update on the incident that sent a store owner to the hospital as investigators try to figure out exactly what may have sparked the violence. The recipe for joy. Right now skyforce10 is over a Carbon Monoxide leak over a Retirement Community in new castle county, delaware. We do know that one person was taken to the hospital, as you can see from our skyforce10 video. All residents have been evacuated onto the sidewalks. We are going to continue to stay on top of this. In other news a woman is in Critical Condition after women say a gunman shot her in the face inside the bakery she owns. It happened earlier this morning. The gunman remain on the loose. The woman was cutting pastry when she was shot. Monique braxton is live in overbrook with more. Reporter hi rosemary. Moments ago detectives released her name and they tell us why they believe she was targeted. They say she was shot in the neck while out back here. They also tell us that even though she suffered an extensive injury, she managed to call 911. Shes in Critical Condition and in surgery. Along with fellow merchants, we watched here at hverford avenue detectives marked three shots on the owner of the overbrook bakery shop. She was out back smoking, according to police. She was unable to speak but she did tell them two people snatched her apron, holding money, while she was outside smoking. They tell us it happened just before 6 00 this morning. Investigators also say there was an attempted robbery here at the best cake bakery about a week ago. They believe it is someone who knew the bakers routine. We think the person is involved close by. Reporter talk about her injuries. The bullet goes into her neck, goes through her airway and is currently lodged in her spine area. Reporter merchants tell us their landlord has posted security cameras all around the strip mall that borders haverford avenue. Detectives are out in the neighborhood looking for surveillance tape hoping it will lead them to the gunman. Well be following this investigation. According to investigators after the argument the woman left and returned with a group of friends. Thats when Authorities Say she shot the man around midnight. He died a short time later. So far no arrests in the case. Philadelphia police think road rage may have led to this brutal baseball bat attack. The suspect was caught on Surveillance Video in north philadelphia smashing the victims car window. When the victim tried to run, the suspect chased after her and beat her again. If you recognize the man in this video, call police. Amorosos bakery announced its moving to Camden County and laying off hundreds of employees. The bread maker says its outgrown its southWest Philadelphia location and moving operations to belmar. It means new positions will be formed and current employees will have to reapply for jobs. In colorado jurors are back at work deciding the punishment for the convicted Movie Theater shooter, james holmes. The jury has been deliberating since yesterday. Prosecutors want the panel to sentence holmes to death but the defense has argued that Capital Punishment is not appropriate for someone diagnosed as schizophrenic. Holmes was convicted of killing 12 people during a screening of the Dark Knight Rises in aurora colorado n 2012. The ntsb will need to determine the cause of the accident that seriously injured tracy morgan and killed another performer. Morgan was riding in a limo van when the vehicle collided with a tractor trailer on a new jersey highway. Overseas french authorities have begun a weeklong operation off an Indian Ocean Island to look for debris from Malaysian Airlines flight 370. Some object to change, arguing, theres less time for sports practices and afterschooljobs, conflicts and money. It costs 2,000 per student because districts need extra buses to transport everyone at once. An expense well worth it, according to the report. Considering twothirds of High School Students get less than eight hours of sleep. Police say someone open fire on the owner of a kosher bakery near city avenue in overbrook this morning. The victim is unable to speak right now, but she was able to signal to police two with her fingers.
