House have been taken away by police for questioning. Police remain on the scene, investigating the Home Invasion on the 2400 block of sheridan. Just before 4 00 this morning, three men stormed this house in the middle of the block. Shots were fired. Investigators also say no one was hit. But there was a scuffle inside. When Police Arrived they tell us that two of the three people inside showed them facial injuries but they also told police they did not want medical treatment. Now, police say the invaders ran off with cell phones, money and jewelry. Police also tell us they have been to this home in the middle of the block before for trouble. New from overnight, Philadelphia Police searching for two men wanted in a Home Invasion in west oak lane. Authorities say the men were armed with guns when they demanded money in a home on cornelia street. While they were searching the home, two shots were fired. Still not clear whether they fired the shots or if it was the home owners. No one was hurt. In north philadelphia, an 18yearold man is dead following a shooting there. Police say a man got into an argument with a woman she left and came back with friends. Someone shot the man. So far, no arrests. Jurors continue deliberation in the trial of irving friryar. Prosecutors accused fryar of masterminding an alleged mortgage scheme. Police had been looking for James Wharton since tuesday morning. He called 911 twice to say he was lost in the woods in winslow township. That was the last they heard from him until last night when officers found wharton along train tracks ter williamstown road. They took him to bethe hospital to be checked out but they say he was in good spirits. New informing in the case of a Cape May County boy who disappeared almost 25 years ago. Only nbc 10 was at the middle Township Police station yesterday when daniel coll showed up for a new interview with detectives. The former prostitute told us earlier the man in the photo, this photo, Thomas Butcavage showed him a video in 1993 of a boy being sexually assaulted. Coll is convinced that it was Mark Himebaugh who was 11 when he vanished from his neighborhood. Ive been wanting to come down here for a long time. Now is the right time. This is the right time. He saysid he stayed at a camp ground in middle township. Butcavage denied involvement and was never charged in this case. He is considered a person of interest. Tax breaks lure another company from philadelphia to camden county. And 200 people will lose their jobs. Nbc 10s matt delucia is live outside of amorosos bakery in southwest philly where workers were notified about the upcoming layoff this week. Matt, difficult time for those workers. Difficult time indeed. Ive been talking with some of the workers at the bakery this morning. I asked them what the mood was like inside. They said some have their heads down others are ready to move on. The notice came wednesday night in a memo. Its a big change for the 200 workers who are here at this bakery. Some have been working here for decades. Amorosos says it has outgrown the location on south 55th street and bought a facility in belmar two years ago. The operations will be moving there. The reason for the layoffs is that a new company is being formed with that movement, so the positions will be terminated. The people who work here now will have to interview for the new jobs. One of the workers i spoke with didnt want to be identified. He said this was not a complete surprise. Hed been here 15 years. Workers had a feeling this time would come. The end is finally here. They talked about it for the last three, four years. Its finally here. We have to find another job, another way to feed our family. Heres something. The facility here on south 55th street that youre looking at was opened as an expansion of the company back in 1960. Now this place will close to make way for another expansion. Good news if youre on 95 into the center city area. The schuylkill expressway is doing great. No problems on the blue route, southbound, still a 15minute drive time. Hasnt budged even a bit from the schuylkill expressway up towards 95. As for mass transit, currently no problems or delays if youre heading out the door.
