The Transit Agency will start emailing the winners of its lottery today. 20,000 passes went unsold in mondays lottery but doesnt mean everyone is guaranteed to get a pass because septa is trying to figure out which train stops sold out and which has passes still remain. Reporter police are trying to prevent a clog from happening in the first place. So they have been in planning mode quite a while here and talking with septa and other emergency agencies to make sure this whole papal visit runs as smoothly as be possible. Even though the pope is really visiting the city for the most part and not really coming out here but a lot of people are coming to this area to take the train line. You have the line down the road here that is going to be open. One of the 18 stops on the papal plan that will be shuttling people in and out of the city. The police here in radnor are expecting more than 20,000 people coming just for that travel to and from the city. The Emergency Operations center here will be open and other suburban are making similar adjustments with stops along the way on the septa route. Radnor, all Vacation Time im told is cancelled and emergency workers will be on double shifts to make sure the traffic moves to and from the trains. Their advice is make your plans right now. Its going to increase traffic on the blue route and, again, that planning is going to take longer to get mere, no matter where you live even if youre five minutes or an hour from here, you need to make those plans. 476 is there and lancaster avenue here both expected to be a lot more crowded because of papal visit.
