The family of Bobbi Kristina brown announcing her death six months after she, just like her mother was found unresponsive in a bathtub. Tamron has been following the story. So sad. Heartbreaking. You can see the reaction from people on social media last night. Bobbi Kristina Brown was rushed to the hospital on january 31 and never regained consciousness. The medical examiner is saying it will take time to determine the exact cause of death. This morning, friends, family and fans are mourning the loss of 22yearold Bobbi Kristina brown, the only child of superstar Whitney Houston and r b singer bobby brown. The family announcing she died on sunday releasing a statement saying in part shes finally at peace in the arms of god. Browns death comes nearly six months after she was found unresponsive at her home near atlanta. A friend discovered her face down and unresponsive in her bathtub january 31. For months her family kept vigil as she was put on a ventilator, moved to a Rehab Facility and finally placed in hospice care. [ Bobbi Kristina rapping ] as the daughter of two stars her life was well documented in a reality show about her father. By age 14 her parents divorced. Five years later houston was found dead in a bathtub at a Beverly Hills hotel. Soon after, Bobbi Kristina spoke with oprah winfrey. Does it seem real . Sometimes, no. No. Sometimes its so surreal that you know i still walk in the house like mom . Reporter she married nick gordon. He was often seen as Bobbi Kristinas adopted brother. We are really very happy. Reporter last month gordon was sued for 10 million accusing him of physically abusing brown and improperly withdrawing 11,000 from her bank account after she was in a coma. The federal government slapped fiatchrysler with the largest fine ever in the wake of a string of recalls. The company is being forced to buy back some cars that it admits are defective and potentially dangerous. Tom costello has more. Good morning. Reporter good morning. Its a 70 million fine. Add in the potential fines and penalties and it could be 105 million. Thats a record. This is whats unusual, as you mentioned. Fiatchrysler buying back half a million creekvehicles its already recalled. The national Highway Traffic Safety Administration is imposing the fines and penalties because of what it calls the companys lax attitude in notifying customers of the recalls and fixing the cars that were recalled. The vehicles included in the buyback are the dodge suv and ram pickups built between 2008 and 12. The owners of a million jeep cherokees from the 1990s will be able to trade in their vehicles for above market value or receive a financial incentive. Fiat chrysler says we also accept the resulting consequences with renewed resolve to improve our handling of recalls and reestablish the trust our customers place in us. Matt . I also think hes speaking out to people that are frustrated with washington frustrated in many cases with both parties. There is an element of that in both parties. I think you see Bernie Sanders at 35 on the democrat side and quite frankly, you know with 16 candidates and 16 choices, i think youre going to see a lot of people surge and move ahead and move behind. Even trump recognized that. It will be a long process. I think we have a varsity squad on the field. What im excited about is the fact that a lot of candidates are already beating Hillary Clinton in the important states. Thats important because Hillary Clinton is at 100 name i. D. And our candidates are beating her. I want to get to Hillary Clinton in a moment. Let me stay on trump. Do you worry there might be longterm damage to the Republican Party brand . Hes got an unfavorability rate among general election voters from 57 59 depending on the polling you look at. If general election voters think Republican Party equals trump, is that bad news for you . Wrote think people think that. I think all the candidates speak for themselves. It is a long process. It will be 15 16 more months until november. I dont see that savannah. I think people understand everyone speaks for themselves. Im not worried. I agree tone matters and how you speak matters. Most political analysts say if trump ran an independent campaign it would peel off enough republican votes to all but assure a Hillary Clinton victory. Do you have to tiptoe around him to make sure it doesnt happen . I dont think so. But my job isnt to call balls and strikes but treat everyone respectfully and fairly. But certainly our candidates should pledge not to run as a third party candidate. I dont see it happening. I think even understands that if Hillary Clinton is going to get beat shes going to get beat by a republican. Most people who run for president run to win. If our candidates want to win they will have to run as a republican. I dont fear that. I think you have seen trump walk that back it is ward the last few days as well. You have a slate of 16 candidates. You call them the varsity squad. Many experienced, qualifieding thoughtful with policy positions. Many of them are worried about getting onto the primetime debate stage. Have you heard complaints about the fact that only ten of them will be able to be in the top tier debate . Its really clear for everyone to understand if you go back to the beginning, back to 2008 back to 2012 we had 23 debates in a traveling circus no control over moderators. We have taken control of the debates. Well have fewer debates. We have some say over the moderators. Not completely but some. Well have a definite calendar. The other thing people need to understand every candidate will be able to compete in debate night. There is going to be two rounds of debates. There will be an early debate and a debate a couple hours later featuring the top ten. All 16 are going to be debating on debate night. Its just that i think people understand we cant fit 16 candidates on a stage. We are splitting the debate into two heats. With all of the candidates vying because they want to be on the main stage does that mean Hillary Clinton can go about her business because the republicans are balting to get on stage . You know its not bad to have a battle instead of a coronation like Hillary Clinton. Everyone is so curious about how the debates will work on the republican side. No one is asking the question when is Hillary Clinton going to debate Bernie Sanders. There seems to be no interest on the other side. The interest on our side gives us a leg up. Youre seeing it now. People across the country now one of the biggest problems Hillary Clinton has with americans is trustworthiness. Its why our candidates with a lower name i. D. Coast guard in what they are classifying still as an active search and rescue mission. They are also not downplaying the enormity of the effort thats under way here. As we look at a live picture of the area where they are searching, they have every minute more area to search because of whats known as the gulf stream a flow of water going north at 6 miles per hour. The area they are now searching exceeds the size of the state of maine. All night the desperate search went on. Nbc news was allowed aboard one of the coast guard planes searching for a sign of 14yearolds perry cohen and austin stefanos. Sunday night friends and family packed the gym at Jupiter Christian school to pray for their safe return. Kind of a shock. Hopefully they come back safe. Reporter for two days searchers turned up nothing. Sunday morning coast guard received report of an over turned vessel black bottom. Reporter the coast guard found the boys 19foot boat capsized 67 miles east of daytona, 170 miles north of where they set sail at jupiter inlet. It gave searchers something to work with. But the search area is more than 33,000 square miles. Thats the size of maine. I just want him home. I know hes coming home. I just want him home now. Reporter austin and perry were last seen buying 110 of gas friday afternoon before setting out for a day of fishing. Oh he ate it reporter that afternoon the weather was threatening. The National Weather service issued a warning to boaters saying they should seek safe harbor immediately. Their families say the two were not supposed to leave the safety of the inlet but they were experienced sailors. They have been through rough water, thin water. It opportunity matter. Documents obtained by nbc news show the manufacturer in this case ford sent out not one but two unofficial advance recall notices over a month ago. Hertz and dollar acknowledging they received the notice but didnt pull the cars because, as policy they wait for the official notice. Its a huge problem. You assume when you rent a car that you are going to get a safe car. Reporter our investigation already getting result this is morning. After we reached out to hertz and dollar they have taken all ford mustangs out of service until the recall is resolved. The rental companies and American Rental Car Association telling nbc news safety is paramount and pledged their support behind the legislation to make it illegal. We put up four Strength Training exercises that are good full body exercises. Push ups, squats slow mountain climbers and tricep dips. Run for 20 minutes, 20 push ups, run for two minutes, 20 push ups. Thats a great way to get upper and lower body. The next day do tricep dips or squats. You are still outside. You dont have to go to a class and incorporate all different muscles. I feel like that would be a harder workout to do the run and these things along the way. The important part is we are going to add two pints of blueberries and let it cook five or six minutes and at the end add the third pint to keep some of them whole and plump. So its not just liquid. I see other fruits here. If you dont like blueberries, you can use blackberries cherries. Use fresh, not frozen. I mean you can do frozen too. I cheat at home. So i have a tablespoon of corn starch and a tablespoon of water. Whisk it together. Add it back into the berries. That will thicken the sauce. Well cook it for another two or three minutes. Okay. Then let it cool. All right. While thats thickening and cooling i will grab the store bought pie crust. I come from a very long line of dutch pie bakers. They would kill me for using store bought. And the news came out of Bobbi Kristina brown passing away after weeks of speculation on her health and her condition yesterday. The family confirmed that after six months of unresponsive health conditions. Shes only 22 years old. She was rushed to the hospital january 31 after being found in her bathtub in her home outside of atlanta. Apparently she never regained consciousness despite conflicting reports of her condition. She was the only child of bobby brown and Whitney Houston who, of course, died also in the bathtub in 2012. The Houston Family released a statement saying in part shes finally at peace in the arms of god. We once again thank everyone for their tremendous amount of love and support during the last few months. There was an overwhelming response of grief and compassion. But oprah winfrey, the Houston Family think shes finally at peace. Since her mothers passing she had turbulent sadness in life. You got the sense even before that. This was a really difficult childhood and young adulthood for this young woman. Unfortunately didnt seem she had a lot of people in her life that could help her. Her death is being invest investigated. There is an autopsy planned as well. In the end, its one of the stories we all watched play out. You pray for a different ending. 22 years old. A baby. The issue came up because of an interesting study that specifically looked at what happens to muscle mass when you immobilize a leg for two weeks. Dont exercise at all. Its not generalized to a vacation scenario but it was interesting. They found young men in their 20s who had the leg immobilization lost 28 of muscle mass. Older men lost 20 . Over what period of time . Two weeks. And it took them longer to regain the muscle than to lose it. You break it town faster than building it up. If you want to pour the liquid into the measuring cup, its milk, lemon, cream and vanilla extract. We are basically making a little bit of a buttermilk. We would slowly mix this all in together. Lets assume we have it done and we have the batter here. Whats the secret to the bundt . Lots of pan spray. The nuts will stick. You can use nonstick but even if you to spray it well. Topping first . Topping comes from the fridge. Nice and cold. We dump it in. Try to spread it around. And the batter goes in . You can use a trigger release scooper, soft flexible spatula helps out.
