As they move in they kind of feed off the heat and humidity. Take a look at future weather. By 6 00 7 00 about an hour from now, we should start to see storms through reading, berks county Lancaster County and up through the allentown area and the poconos. By 7 00 to about 8 00 we will see the storms shifting into upper montgomery upper bucks county, also Chester County. Approaching the philadelphia area about an hour later and down into parts of delaware throughout delaware and parts of south jersey we could see more storms moving into those sections. By 9 00 this evening, i think a lot of the storm activity would be shifting to our delaware beaches, mostly in Sussex County up through south jersey and along the shore. The threat should end by 10 00 to 11 00 tonight from west to east. Coming up glenn will have a closer look at what you can expect with these storms and the timing straight ahead. I can tell you it was a gorgeous day, a perfect day to go to the pool sunny and hot like you guys were saying right on schedule. We are seeing these dark clouds start to move in the wind is picking up and a lot of swimmers at the West Reading Pool have started to get out of here ahead of this storm. You can feel it coming. We have been watching it on radar for the last couple hours picking up steam, getting closer. We are expecting it here in the next hour or so. Again, the pool is starting to close down people at the park are leaving but it was a beautiful day, hot and humid. Dea agents raided urgent care facilities across pennsylvania today. Nbc 10s Mitch Blacher joins us from wynfield. Mitch . Reporter this is one of seven urgent care facilities advanced urgent care facilities across the state of pennsylvania that have been raided today by the Drug Enforcement agency the dea. Right now the only sign you can really see is this closed sign that says handwritten closed sign on the side of the building. Earlier today, sky force 10 did capture the dea as it was packing up boxes and exiting this advanced urgent care center. Again, all part of seven different advanced Urgent Care Centers raided by the dea. The dea is saying very little about the purpose of these raids but we have seen several people come up to the door as they were either looking for care or looking for prescriptions to be filled. No word as to why these raids happened. According to advanced urgent cares website it was founded in february 2010 by a group of Board Certified doctors. This video came to light just last night and it immediately triggered an internal investigation by the Philadelphia Police department. Police arrested a man here in this video during an alleged drug bust back in april. The Department Says the suspect bit two officers and that led to the violent takedown. Nbc 10s doug shimell talked to the mans grandmother today. Doug . Reporter just late this afternoon, Philadelphia Police released a statement saying they had been reviewing that cell phone video to see whether officers followed proper procedure. Tyrees a sweet kid. He helps me a lot because im in a wheelchair. Reporter Nancy Carroll says her grandson tyree, has been in jail since april 3rd. That is when a neighbor recorded cell video of tyree on the ground after police say they saw him involved in a drug transaction in germantown and found more than five grams of crack cocaine on him. Despite that comment, police claim a taser was never actually used as Tyree Carroll fought with officers allegedly biting one of them three times and another once. Hes down on the ground hollering, calling me. Cops dont say anything. Trying to get over. But he didnt resist. They lied. Reporter his family claims the force used by officers badly injured one of his ankles that has gone untreated in prison. He said its still swollen and he needs to go to the doctor with it. They examined his pupils and his heart and they didnt look at his injuries. So we really are very concerned about his medical condition. Reporter tyrees grandmother does confirm that tyree can be heard on that cell phone video apologizing to officers saying hes sorry for biting them. The teacher at the center of a Catholic School controversy on the main line is sharing the story behind her firing. In an exclusive, today i sat down with margie winters for her first tv interview. She told me after eight years she was forced out. The reason . Shes married to a woman. Winters told me she informed the school about her same sex marriage when hired. She was advised she could share the information with faculty but not parents or students. Winters believes a parent upset about a curriculum decision at the school went to the school about her marriage and then to the archdiocese. The principal and i had a conversation over what their options were so you know she said that if i refused to resign, they would need to fire me. And if they didnt fire me the understanding was that the diocese could pull their catholic identity. Reporter the archdiocese has gone on record denying any involvement with this decision because the Academy Receives state funds, they are bound by discrimination laws. Winters says she is still thinking about her many options. Gamblers wont hit the tables at trump plaza for at least ten years. A judge today approved a deed restricting anyone from reopening trump plaza as a casino for a decade. Someone can open the property to use it for anything but gambling. Reporter in the ongoing battle against moisture and mold at the jersey shore, dehumidifiers are able to dry the air but if used improperly firefighters say they can cause destruction like this. Reporter ocean city investigators believe an accidental fire early sunday morning at this beach block rental home from which seven people had to be rescued was sparked by a dehumidifier placed in a corner next to a sofa. With the recent weather, the increasing humidity, these units were probably running 24 hours a day. The increase in temperature buildup within the unit they overheat and the heat has to go somewhere so its transmitted into the object its touching. The first alert weather day continues with the threat of severe storms damaging winds, maybe even a tornado or two in the area before the evening is over. The greatest threat as we go through the evening is not necessarily the flooding but lightning threat is fairly high and the wind threat is the highest. Hail and tornadoes still not out of the picture here. We are dry in philadelphia right now. We had some showers early today, then it was dry most of the day. 84 degrees now, the winds south at eight miles an hour. It is pretty humid out there. The highest risk for severe storms across many of our pennsylvania counties and some of them in effect right now. Severe thunderstorm watch in this area until 11 00. The tornado watch is in yellow and now these orange areas have severe thunderstorm warnings and that now is extended into parts of berks county and much of Chester County little bit of Montgomery County until 7 00. Those storms continue to move into our area. This line of storms and its starting to get a little curvature here and theres always trouble when youre looking at thunderstorms because when you see that bowing that means the winds behind it are extra strong especially if you see a lot of lightning with it. Theres likely to be some strong winds with this coming in through Lancaster County now, Chester County is coming up next berks county about to get hit as well. The timing 6 43 in reading, 7 24 in wilmington 7 30 or so in philadelphia itself. This area is headed toward the Lehigh Valley and the poconos. Some very heavy rain and again, gusty winds. As we go through the evening, you will see some of these clusters of storms come right in through portions of Chester County and montgomery and bucks county, northern delaware here then coming into parts of new jersey by 8 00 in the philadelphia area of course. Then starting to dry out, and the rest of pennsylvania, we are starting to get hit hard in trenton and hamilton area down to vineland and into wildwood and the shore areas of philadelphia. By 9 00 10 00, its getting closer to being out of here. Once it gets out of here its really going to get nicer just in time for the weekend. 78 degrees at the shore, sunshine, not much wind. The ocean isnt as warm as a couple days ago but thats about the only thing that is an issue here. The poconos, gorgeous weather over the weekend, low humidity and virtually no chance of rain.
