Witnesses, though just told me a few minutes ago it was a male employee who just returned from visiting family. He was on vacation in egypt, who worked here. He was the person who was stabbed to death and that ems crews worked to try to save his life. The mayor just arrived here at the scene a few moments ago. We have not had a chance to speak with him. We did speak to some customers who are shocked and saddened by this crime. An employee trying to make a living honestly. Reporter and now this. There are several reports. He was detained while electronics were removed from the home. He has been subway spokesperson since 2000 after he lost more than 200 pounds after eating subway sandwiches and exercising. Right now 11 Court Documents are revealing bill quos by admitted to obtaining drugs he gave to women he wanted to have sex with. Attorney for the 77yearold entertainer still havent responded to the release of the deposition. These pictures from darlington road in Chester Heights where two people had to be rescued after 9 00 last night. It took an hour to safely remove them. Nbc10 was on the scene a short time later as police and rescue crews removed that stuck vehicle and then worked to reopen the flooded out road. Philadelphia police are investigating how a 6yearold boy was shot while playing basketball in a driveway. This happened just before midnight in the grays ferry sections of the city. Police say the boy was playing basketball with other kids in his driveway. None of the other children were hit. Right now theres no description of the shooter and no bullet casings have been found at the scene. Police tell us theyre relying on witness statements. Also in grays ferry police are investigating a double shooting. 22 shell casings were found near the scene at near 28th and oakford streets. Investigators call it an ambushstyle attack. They say the suspect stood over a 38yearold man and shot him several times. That man died. A second man was shot in both legs and rusched to the hospital. The suspects are still on the run. Theyre picking up the pieces this morning at Port Richmond truck business after a truck crashed into the building. You can see the hole in the side of the building. Not clear what caused the driver to lose control of the vehicle. The driver was taken to the hospital, but no one else was hurt. And jury selection is under way for one of the two men involved in a street race that killed a mother and her three sons. They were hit trying to cross roosevelt boulevard two years ago. Prosecutors say the drivers were street racing in july of 2013. Police say one hit samarra banks and one of her four young sons as they crossed roos vement boulevard. They are charged with homicide by vehicle and three counts of murder. Holliman pleaded guilty. The Confederate Flag is one step closer to coming down from the State Capitol in South Carolina. Reporter this morning one person is dead and five others are injured after a section of the popular big four ice caves in Northern Washington suddenly collapsed monday. Being advised for a possible partial collapse of the ice caves. About eight, nine subjects. Possible injuries. Some subjects unkushs. Reporter more than 100 rescuers raced to the remote area about 70 miles northeast of seattle. Theyre essentially frozen over an avalanche chute over a rock chute. Atlantic Police Detectives have been in and out of this cedar food market the last half hour. We were told they were interview interviewing a customer who saw everything. We were told an employee was stabbed to death in an apparent robbery attempt. This all happened a few minutes after 9 00 this morning. We have learned also the store is open from 7 00 in the morning until 11 00 at night every day. Now, at least one female customer was inside and saw everything. A Police Source confirms to nbc10 that the suspect was armed with a knife and that witnesses who didnt want to talk on camera said they overheard Police Telling him to drop that knife after he ran from the store and thats when as many as eight shots were fired. A source also confirms there are two dead but obviously were working to confirm with the Prosecutors Office right now that the two are indeed that store employee. Were told hes a male 29 years old, and also that suspect dead. Customers who bring their children into the store every day explained to us moments ago theyre shocked. Im sad because my kids come to this story. What if there were some kids out here. And they know everybody. And i feel sorry for the guy that got shot but he killed for what reason . Dont nobody know. I come to this store every morning. They open at 7 00. Im here by 7 30 every morning. Its ridiculous. You dont have to take nobodys life like that. Now, the main threat for Severe Weather as we look at the tracker, it would be for heavy rain producing some localized flooding. Thats what happened last night. Didnt rain in most of the area but some of the places that did get the rain had some flooding at least for a brief period of time. Temperatures into the low 80s in many areas. The clouds keeping the temperatures down some places. And its affecting the areas at the shore, too. Now, its a little bit cooler right near the beaches at cape may than farther inland. 10degree difference there. Its not quite as extreme as it often is because the wind direction is out of the southwest here. Ocean city is at 81 degrees. Atlantic city marina at 78. While its 87 degrees in northfield. Not very far away. Some isolated showers around now. Some in new jersey some in central pennsylvania. None of them are that heavy. Theyre moving fairly quickly. But a lot more action going on out to the west. Detroit down toward southern illinois. Thats where the action is. Were going to watch for the potential development for some of these showers or storms as we go through the afternoon. But were thinking theyre going to be more of the isolated vaerlt. Variety. As we go through the day today, hot and humidity up near 90 degrees, isolated thunderstorms developing. Wouldnt be lasting very long if you did get rain. Tomorrow, a little more widespread.
