It happened just before midnight in the grays ferry section of philadelphia. Police say the boy was playing basketball with other kids in the driveway. None of other children was hit. Right now theres no description of the shooter, no bullet casings at the scene. Police tell us right now theyre relying on witness statements. Also in grays ferry police are investigating a double homicide not too far away from where the 6yearold was shot. 22 shell casings were found at the scene near 28th and oxford. Investigators are calling it an ambush style attack. The suspects are on the run. Recently unsealed Court Documents reveal bill cosby admitted to getting quaaludes with the intention of giving them to young women. He wanted to have sex with. He also confessed to giving the sedative to at least one woman. This admission was made in 2005 under oath after he was faced with a lawsuit filed by a former Temple University employee. Reporter this is a tough one to wrap your head around the victim 6 years old. Were told he is stable here at Childrens Hospital of philadelphia behind me. I did minutes ago get off the phone with south detectives who are investigating but they say this is a tough one. They have very little to go on. Heres what they do know. The shooting happened around 11 30 in the grays ferry neighborhood of philadelphia. Police who responded were told by people in the area that the boy was playing with her kids in the driveway playing basketball when everyone heard a single gunshot. The 6yearold boy turned out to be the only victim. Investigators say this is a difficult one because theres very little evidence of the shooting. We couldnt find any ballistic evidence at this time. We dont have any description of the shooter or shooters. We dont have a motive for the shooting. Reporter police are looking for any help out there. Theyve spent the Morning Hours interviewing friends and family and witnesses of that shooting. If you have information, call south detectives. Vai, until yesterday, this Court Document this deposition that cosby gave in 2005 was sealed under a judges order. The Associated Press recently petitioned the dress to unseal the documents. Cosbys lawyer fought that petition saying the document could embarrass his klein the and it looks like he might be right about that. The deposition was taken as part of a civil lawsuit filed by a former temple employee who claimed cosby sexually assaulted her in 2005. The womans lawyer asked when you got the quaaludes was it in your mind you were going to use them for young women that you wanted to have sex with . Cosby answered yes. He also admitted to giving the drug to not only the accuser but other unnamed women as well. Two of those women testified they knowingly took the drug from cosby. A woman who filed a more recent claim against cosby says this only proves her point. I want mr. Cosby to face justice for what he has done to me and to so many other women. Reporter the release of those documents yesterday he settled that lawsuit in 2005. He settled it under confidential terms in 2006 with the accuser of the former temple employee. Cosby has been accused of Sexual Misconduct by more than two dozen women, many of those accusations that he drugged and raped them. Hes never been criminally charge, most of the time denying any wrongdoing. A man accused of shooting a Camden County Police Officer is back behind bars after going to court. A judge doubled Victor Bennetts bail to 2 million at a hearing yesterday. We counted at least 20 Camden County Police Officers there for hearing. Among them was officer prince reed, seen her leaving the courtroom. Police say Victor Bennett shot reed last night on kenwood avenue while the officer was working under cover. He took a bullet fragment in the arm. Prosecutors want to make sure he stays locked up even though officer reed was wounded he searched for the suspect before heading to the hospital for treatment. The man accused of opening fire on police and setting several fires in a chester neighborhood will be in court today. Investigators say charles is responsible for starting a house fire that displaced 28 people. When officers caught up to him in the days following, police say he opened fire and then ran away. Police arrested him a few days later. We expect to learn more about the duck boat crash that killed a tourist in philadelphia in may. Dr. Elizabeth karnicki of texas was run over by a sight seeing vehicle when crossing the street. It was operated by a Company Called ride the ducks. Swimmers along the jersey shore were forced out of the water several times yesterday after reports of shark sightings. The First Sighting happened yesterday afternoon in margate, atlantic county. There was another one a short time later. Lifeguards in margate jumped into a row boat to look into the shark sighting earlier in the day. Jersey shore beachgoers say they welcome the beach patrol on heightened alert and additional precautions. Cruising looking at dolphins and all of a sudden we saw the lifeguard out there. Everyone was out of the water which is shocking. No one was hurt and swimming was back to normal within an hour of the sightings. Tracy and i would have waited a week maybe. Im katy zachry live outside Childrens Hospital of philadelphia where inside a 6yearold boy is recovering after he was shot in the foot while playing basketball in his driveway in the grays ferry section of the city. Heres video of the scene that we took shortly before midnight. Versions say it took place while the boy was playing basketball with a large group of people. They were playing late around 11 30 when witnesses tell police a single gunshot went off. The crowd cleared and found the 6yearold boy was the only victim of that gunfire. Now, despite all of the witness accounts, police say they have very Little Information to go on.
