While these are all great messages, feeling confident about your body takes more than reading an inspirational quote on Instagram.
Body confidence is not just a "women's issue". People of colour, people with a disability and the LGBTIQA+ community experience additional pressures too.
The list of things an unhealthy body image can impact in your life is long — from sexual confidence and pleasure, to mental health and celebrating gay pride.
Whatever your gender, sexuality, colour, size or shape, there are ways to improve the way you see your body, to learn to appreciate what it does, and enjoy it more. And there is plenty of evidence that this will improve your physical and mental health too.
