Wayne County shelter seeks home for the holidays for adoptable dogs

The Wayne County Dog Shelter and Adoption Center has a deal sure to warm your heart and give a dog a warn home for the holiday.
The center is asking the community to host a holiday sleepover with one of its adoptable dogs this Christmas. The goal is to empty the shelter for Christmas Day by placing the dogs into a temporary foster home and possibly getting more dogs adopted.
Stephanie Kurzenberger, the lead canine technician at the shelter, said many families have expressed interest in the program. Now, the shelter needs to more than a dozen dogs with the right family.
