Land use: Myakka “triangle” rezone continued
Manatee County Commissioners were scheduled to decide on a pending rezone for the 1.54-acre parcel of land in Myakka City near the northeast corner of State Road 70 and County Road 675, known as “the triangle.” However, the hearing was continued to the April 15 land use meeting. Manatee Ranches is requesting to rezone the land from agriculture to small neighborhood commercial.
Manatee County Commissioners voted 5-1 on Thursday to approve an amendment to the Heritage Harbour development plan that will, among other things, allow construction of a proposed assisted living facility as high as five stories rather than four.
