The Washington Football Team fined quarterback Dwayne Haskins $40,000 and rescinded his captaincy as punishment for partying while not wearing a mask after the team's loss to the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday.
Coach Ron Rivera, in his first public comments since the incident, said the team worked closely with the NFL on the matter so Haskins would be allowed to practice and join team meetings via video conference. He is tested twice daily for the coronavirus, and he wears a mask under his helmet, which has a face shield.
