Rev Jane Proudfoot, Andy Carter MP and church treasurer Charles Jesudason outside St Wilfridâs Church in Grappenhall
A Grappenhall church will be the focal point for community activities this summer following a funding boost from the Culture Recovery Fund.
St Wilfrid’s Church has secured £75,000 in the latest round of awards from the government’s £1.57billion fund which is aimed at supporting cinemas, theatres and performance venues reopen to the public as lockdown restrictions ease.
The award will enable the grade one listed building to host a wide range of activities over the next few months including concerts and craft groups as well as heritage exhibitions.
