A Warren County woman was found dead from hypothermia hours after slipping and falling on ice. According to the Warren County Sheriff's Office, a call came in from a mobile home park on Lee Road at around 1 a.m. Sunday. The caller stated hearing cries of distress in the area. Deputies were dispatched to the mobile home park to search the area but did not hear any cries for help and did not find anyone in distress, Sheriff Martin Pace said. Deputies expanded the search and still found nothing. Hours later her body was found. Pace said at around 4 a.m., a man who lives at a house on Lowery Road, about a half-mile away from the mobile home park, found his wife a few feet away from their back door after she apparently slipped and fell on ice outside the home. Warren County Coroner Doug Huskey identified the woman as Pearl Deckard, 66. She was taken to the Merit Health River Region ER where she was pronounced dead. Huskey stated she died from multiple organ failure due to hypothermia.
