World War Two bomber pilot Don Mason may have been locked down in his Thurso care home but celebrated his 100th birthday in style with a royal greeting and a special cake honouring his wartime service.
Apart from a greeting from the Queen, Don received over 100 other cards from friends, family and the local community which included pupils from Pennyland School who designed unique handmade birthday cards.
