The goal is certainly laudable: using technology in a new way to try to solve a 15-year-old homicide case.
On Friday the Saskatchewan RCMP launched a three-part podcast series called “Who killed Misha Pavelick?” featuring RCMP officers and family members of the victim, in an effort to collect new evidence in Misha’s stabbing death at a 2006 bush party near Regina Beach.

Saskatchewan RCMP Commanding Officer Rhonda Blackmore put it like this in a prepared news release: “Podcasts present such a compelling way for us to tell a story, and this is one of the many stories we hope to tell with this new platform. I hope that hearing the determination in our investigators’ voices, and the heartbreak in Misha’s loved ones’ voices will compel those with knowledge of the circumstances of Misha’s death to come forward.”
