A longtime business located in Waltz — an unincorporated community in Huron Charter Township — announced it has permanently closed.
The Waltz Inn, an eatery and bar, publicized its decision in a post to its Facebook page earlier this week.
Thanking customers and staff, the restaurant’s management said it came to the decision after much thought and consideration.
“We would like to express our heartfelt thanks and deep appreciation for our wonderful and loyal customers,” the restaurant’s management said in a statement. ”Throughout the years, many of you have become like family.”
The restaurant has been closed since March last year when Gov. Gretchen Whitmer and the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services mandated restaurant establishments close their dining rooms and shift to carryout and delivery operations due to the growing COVID-19 pandemic.
