The Waltham Council on Aging is dedicated to the needs and interests of Waltham elders. Board meetings are held at 11:30 a.m. on the third Monday of the month, at the William F. Stanley Senior Center, 488 Main St. No meetings are held in July and August. The main phone number is 781-314-3499.
: The 2021 Parking Stickers will be available for purchase by mail only beginning Dec. 1. This program is for Waltham residents ages 62 or older. A copy of one’s driver’s license, vehicle registration and a check for $5 along with a self-addressed stamped envelope — a #10 envelope, 4”x9”, with 1 stamp — are required. Vehicles do not have to be registered in Waltham, however participants must be a resident of Waltham. Stickers are not issued for commercial vehicles. The sticker entitles residents to park up to 2 hours in all of the municipal parking lots except the Waltham Library and Church Street lot which have a two 2 maximum limit. Even with a parking sticker, no one is allowed to park for more than 24 hours in one parking space, except during an emergency snow ban.
