ALTON — Wednesday night’s Alton city council meeting was the last under former Mayor Brant Walker’s administration, after which newly elected Mayor David Goins was sworn in, along with new aldermen, at a special meeting.
During this meeting, aldermen approved the following ordinances:
• An increase of Class I liquor licenses increased from four to five. A Class I allows the sale of liquor at retail for consumption only on the premises as part of a banquet facility.
