Super Falcons head coach, Randy Waldrum, says his desire is to see the team consistently finish well at every Women’s World Cup, and possibly winning it.
The American, who will be in charge of the team for the first time against CSKA Moscow ladies in the Turkish Women’s Cup at the Emir Sports Complex in Antalya, Turkey on Thursday (today), said this in an interview with the Super Falcons TV.
“We can expand and build on what is already there from the style standpoint. The ambition of the team going forward is to consistently get out of the group stage and to have a deep run in every World Cup and to become world champions. I don’t think we go to the tournament to play the game just to be there, you want to play to win, so obviously that’s the goal,” Waldrum stated.
