WA ESD Commissioner LeVine Accepts Role In Biden Administration

OLYMPIA, WA — The head of Washington's Employment Security Department is leaving to take a role with the Biden-Harris administration.
The ESD confirmed Friday that Commissioner Suzi LeVine will be leaving her position at the end of January. LeVine was appointed to head the ESD by Gov. Jay Inslee in 2018. Following her announcement, the governor released a statement wishing her well.
"I wish Suzi the very best in her next adventure. Her dedication and hard-work will add value to the Biden-Harris administration," Inslee said. "In our state, she led the Employment Security Department through an extremely challenging time and I never doubted that she had the best interests of working Washingtonians at the heart of all her endeavors."
