In fact, more than 57.4 million people used stations in Wales in 2018-19.
And members of the public are being asked by Transport for Wales to choose a leading charity which they would like to see - as well as millions of other people - on the side of one of its trains.
TfW is introducing three sets of new back carriages to its Cardiff-Holyhead services and as part of the distinctive branding of the trains they will print the livery of some of Wales' biggest charities.
Two of the end carriages are already set to feature Alzheimer’s Society Cymru and Ty Gobaith Children’s Hospice, while the third will be voted for via Twitter.
