MEMBERS of the Civilian Volunteer Organization (CVO) have undergone a one-day self-defense techniques and life-saving training, courtesy of the Philippine Army's 53rd Infantry Battalion (IB).
The one-day activity was held Sunday, March 28, through the auspices of the 53IB's Alpha Company headed by First Lieutenant Janryl Gumalad, in coordination with officials of Sinonok village, Dumingag, Zamboanga del Sur.
The instructor of the one-day training on self-defense techniques and life-saving training is Corporal Peter Paul Medalle.
Gumalad said the training is aimed to enhance the knowledge and skills of the CVO members to respond to any situation that might arise and strengthen the defense system of the village against lawless elements.
