Life can be challenging for each of us at times! Add to that the components of a pandemic, and the effects can be even more significant. The National Institute of Mental Health reported just last month that studies conducted by the CDC and other entities found a significant rise in mental health issues after the onslaught of the COVID-19 Pandemic. According to the CDC:
• Thirty-one percent of respondents reported symptoms of anxiety or depression
• 13percent reported having started or increased substance use
• 26 percent reported stress-related symptoms
• and 11 percent reported having serious thoughts of suicide in the past 30 days
