Twenty years later and a film festival entirely devoted to women continues to thrive.
Lunafest, for films about women made by women, is being held virtually again this year on Saturday with seven short documentary films focused on the theme Someday is Now.

The local version of the festival is hosted by Soroptimist International London that will split proceeds with Chicken & Egg Pictures, a non-profit organization that supports women non-fiction filmmakers whose work is considered a catalyst for social change.
